The best area to stay in Chosica is the central district, particularly around the main square, Plaza de Armas.

This area is the heart of Chosica, offering a convenient base for exploring the town. You'll find a good selection of hotels, restaurants, and shops within easy walking distance. The Plaza de Armas itself is a pleasant spot with gardens and benches, often bustling with local activity. Nearby streets like Jirón Arica and Jirón Ayacucho are where you'll find most of the local businesses and services.

Couples often appreciate the central district for its accessibility and local flavour. You can easily stroll to local eateries for authentic Peruvian cuisine, browse the market, or simply enjoy the relaxed pace of life.

Chosica is a great destination year-round, but the best time to go is during the dry season, which runs from April to November, offering consistently sunny weather.

During these months, Chosica experiences very little rainfall and boasts clear skies, making it ideal for outdoor activities and enjoying the warm climate. This period is great for those looking to escape the coastal fog of Lima and enjoy bright, sunny days in the Andean foothills.

Even during the wet season, from December to March, Chosica still experiences plenty of sunshine. While there might be occasional short showers, these are usually brief, and the temperatures remain pleasant. This season is particularly good for those who appreciate lush, green landscapes and don't mind the possibility of a little rain.
