Perfect location and great lodging! We got 3 nights in May 2025 for an excellent value. Clean, charming room and very comfy bed. The cozy lounge next to the lobby is a nice plus, with live music most nights.

The room was bigger than it appeared online! It was clean & had great amenities! Staff is very friendly & helpful! Location to shopping & restaurants is perfect! We’d definitely stay here again!

Our stay at the Lodge Alley Inn was excellent!!! You can’t beat the amazing location that puts you in walking distance of all the downtown Charleston attractions. Our room was beautiful, huge, and very clean! We loved the balcony overlooking the courtyard too. The staff was so nice too! Highly highly recommend staying here!!!

It was amazing! The best location we could have asked for considering we didn’t have a car. So many restaurants and shops were walkable from our stay. Everything was clean and beautiful when we got there. Would definitely come back!

Vacation to introduce John to Charleston

Fantastic location and great property, loved the space and amenities in the room. Very comfortable bed and furniture, loved the fireplace in the mornings and evenings! Took advantage of the free laundry and ice, made the stay easy and pleasurable. GREAT PRICE on VRBO, would do this again in a heartbeat!

Convenience of walking to many things. The bedding is wonderful! Thank you for still using cotton. Please never change to synthetics! The rooms are amazing and so clean! Please add a beautiful water urn filled with fruit water to the lobby for guests to enjoy.

Birthday trip

My boyfriend and I stayed here for his birthday. Very cool suite right in the heart of downtown. The room was very clean, check-in was easy. The only downside was the noise. There are timeshare yours that start in the morning, and we could hear them going on while we were still in bed in the mornings. A white noise machine probably would have drowned that out and it would have been perfect.

Great location, big room, suite really, all perfect. The only thing I'd adjust is the fan blowing into shower making it chilly and the mattress was so soft felt like I was sinking! Comfortable sleep, but maybe I'm used to more firm mattresses.

Do not Rent!

On the VRBO platform this property is listed as having a kitchen. It does not. This room has a small microwave and refrigerator. The listing company (KOALA) has very poor customer service practices, does not respond in a timely way and the attempts to shift ownership of errors onto the facility management or the customer. RUN AWAY form any listing that is associated with KOALA. (Of note, the Bluegreen Staff are very responsive and helpful.....but they too could not get KOALA to own the errors.)
