"My boyfriend sprained his ankle a few hours before arrival. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, particularly the driver who took us to the airport very early this morning. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We ordered food from the restaurant- plantain coated, crispy fish and the steak risotto. Both were excellent. We did have trouble dialing the restaurant from the room phone - it wouldn’t connect. But does not detract from the excellent customer service and the comfort of the room. We would stay here again."

"The hotel is located in the city center, so it’s walkable to the national theater, plaza/museum, parks, and other attractions. It’s next to a casino and feels more like an apartment building than a traditional hotel. The staff were very friendly and our room was extremely spacious. It even had a small kitchen area but there were no pots, utensils or plates whatsoever. We were under the impression that it offered a buffet breakfast but you actually ordered from the menu. Simple local foods. For the space and location, we’d consider staying here if we visit San Jose again."

This beautiful, old hotel has excellent staff who help you enjoy the free breakfast choices, the pool, and their amazing city. The parking is secure and included.
