"Staying at Hotel Solana was a tranquil and restful experience. The lagoon view and access here was fantastic. The staff was very cordial and thoughtful. The onsite chef makes amazing meals to include a very satisfying breakfast every morning. The pavillion dock is so picturesque. Located near the southern end of the lagoon (a few miles from town), it was also very quiet. Kayaks and life jackets provided, jet ski for hourly rent. The bedding was comfy! "

"It's very difficult and confusing getting to the location. You have to drive down a trail from the main road to get to the office to check in. The pier that is the main highlight on Expedia is far away from the property. It's very decieving. But once you get situated it's ok. The room I had was much closer to the pier than the other rooms closer to the office. The pier is great though."

"Amazing, boutique stay! The room was simple and beautifully appointed, leaving all the emphasis on the fantastic view. The staff was warm and welcoming; cheers to Alicia, Lauro, Jonathan, and Jovani for making our stay so special. Thank you also to the unsung hero, the Amainah chefs, who cook up absolute magic all day. Stunning location for relaxing and launching off into the beauty of the lagoons. "
"What a dream stay. Everyone is SO nice. Our room, while rustic, was amazing.
You can walk just a few feet away and overlook some of the most beautiful views in the word. Kayaks and paddle boarding are included.
Breakfast was free every day and was delicious. The staff was so attentive. You cannot find service like this at the Four Seasons. The waiters and maintenance staff were so accommodating.
One caveat and it has nothing to do with the hotel, we got bit by mosquitoes a lot in the room. I recommend you bring lots of bug spray and even a plug in to avoid it. The staff had a whole bottle of Off spray in their dining area which is a great idea.
Can’t wait to go back! "
"Everyone I encountered was very friendly and willing to assist us. We had breakfast one morning. It was delicious. Those chilaquiles continue to be as good as 2 years ago when we visited for the first time. Thank you all."
"Perfect location, kayak was available for no charge and no time frame Axel was accommodating breakfast was exceptional and lunch could have picked a better spot, my dog was welcome and lots of green for him to play, bar had a refreshing fruit smoothie. ALL AROUND WONDERFUL "
"Mr.David was the most gracious host. I checked in very late, last minute and he greeted me with a friendly smile and when I asked if the tiki was open he said no BUT then went behind the bar (as the owner can) and found me a cold beverage after my long day of travel. And breakfast was delivered to my room the next morning again with a friendly smile. Room was spotless and in meticulous condition. Cannot wait to go back again. Mr.David was amazing, highly recommend to anyone who loves Bacalar.
