"Loved this spot, the room was clean, I was in a room with doors opening to the shared balcony which was both great and too bad as that was the social area. A few guys were out there past quiet hours meaning there were right outside the window. Although during the day it was lovely to be connected to the balcony. They will do your laundry on proper for a very reasonable price and the parking was great, right outside the guest house. They’ve set the kitchen up wonderfully so that many people can use it at once. I loved my stay here and would highly recommend it!"

"Pictures in the website do not truly reflect the actual condition of the place. It’s dated and in need of some basic maintenance. Doors catching on the floors, tarnished brass on door handles, musty smell, … overall appearance is tired and could do with a freshen up. Room service/cleaning only done if booked the day before (and before 6 pm) which was sneakily put through. Not what I would expect for the price charged, it should be by default! Breakfast was ok but average quality foods. Staff was very nice and friendly though "

"I really enjoyed my stay here! The surroundings were absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The house was very clean, the garden was well maintained, and all the facilities were perfect — everything worked just as expected. The only minor downside was that there was some construction going on nearby, so the mornings started a bit early with hammering sounds. But overall, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely recommend this place!"

"Overall we had a great stay at the Estalagem do Mar. The staff was very friendly and helpful with last minute accommodations and present to help with any other needs. It was a 3 minute walk away from a little downtown area with restaurants, a convenience store, gift shop, and little stands that are open on the weekends. Would stay here again if we visit Madeira island again! Free parking on the facility was also a huge plus for us! "
