My stay at the Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola Lugano was one of the best Hotel experiences I have ever had. My room was exquisite especially my gorgeous balcony with fabulous views of Lake Lugano. The surrounding gardens were so manicured and breathtaking! I stayed at Castagnola for 5 nights and my daily breakfast was a treat to look forward to. Nice hotel definately 4 star. Modern and clean. Within walking distance of shopping and train station. We walked to the cable car and took the cable car upto the train station.

The location is excellent close to the shopping, restaurants and ferry terminal. The rooms are good and quiet. A good hotel and recommended

The location of the hotel was good. Easy to get to Lugano Centre by Line 2 Bus. The bus was SO reliable & came every 20 minutes. The room had a great view of the lake but was not well equipped re power points. The bathroom was excellent. I thought for an expensive hotel it was a bit much to charge you if you wanted a cooked omelette or eggs fried or poached. Most hotels offer this. The evening meal was excellent. Best views of Lugano while having beakfast. Very highly maintained and run business. Staff always helpful.

My single room was clean and in excellent repair. The hotel location is convenient to restaurants, sights and transport. The number 1 bus which goes almost everywhere I wanted to go stops directly in front of the hotel.

Great location. We arrived by train and it was a quick funicular trip down from the station and the hotel is right there. Rooms are small but they have everything you need. The staff are super helpful and we even received blocks of Swiss chocolate on arrival, which was a nice touch.

Great location for trains and buses. Very neat apartment with a great balcony. Washing machine and drier very handy. Thanks for the stay.
