"Absolute Gem of a place, super clean, cosy and lovely little village Cark is, this was a great hub for me and my boy to do Scaffel whilst my wife and daughter took a train into Ulverston for the day "train station 2 min walk away". "We had a lovely stay for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, we upgraded our room to Super Deluxe which was very spacious and had a great view of the lake. A card was left in our room wishing us a happy anniversary which was a nice touch. Perfect location, breakfast was good and staff were exceptional. Our room wasn’t ready until 4 which is what the hotel states as check in time, this is a bit later than most hotels but we enjoyed a drink at the bar while we waited.
