"We chose the Royal Atlantis because of the reviews and proximity to things we wanted to do. Upgraded to an ocean view as well. I was a little disappointed with how uncomfortable the beds were and shocked the tub had large amounts of paint chipped off of it from previous repainting job. We ordered room service a few times. The second time the food was 2 hours late. Had to call operator to find out about it and there was no compensation; which was shocking, especially when they get an automatic 15% gratuity and convenience fee added. Ended up having a pair of my shoes come up missing as well. It was upsetting their cigarette stations were along paths of high traffic areas making it hard to breathe. If I had it to do again I would stay at the comfort suits and just have the free benefit of the Atlantis wrist band instead of staying there as I thought it was going to be immaculate."

"I recently stayed at Family Selection at Grand Palladium Bávaro for my birthday and had an amazing experience. As my first all-inclusive resort, it exceeded my expectations. There was something for everyone, regardless of age. A special thank you to our butler Hector, housekeeper Elizabeth, beach bartender Luis, and Daniel. They were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The property is large, but golf cart transportation ran throughout the day and was easy to flag down. The staff were always willing to help, and both employees and guests created a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend the guided Spa Hydrotherapy and mud bath, it was so relaxing and a great way to end my trip. I felt very safe throughout my stay. The food was excellent with plenty of variety. Breakfast had many options, lunch favorites included the grill and traditional Dominican dishes at the buffets, and dinner was outstanding. El Dorado was my favorite restaurant, though every restaurant offered great appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Despite it being seaweed season, the resort worked hard to keep the beach clean and swimmable. The property was also consistently clean and well maintained including common areas and villas. My only suggestions would be designated smoking areas and a smoother check-in/check-out process. Overall, the resort went above and beyond to help celebrate my birthday, and I look forward to returning in the future."
