The property has a lovely garden and view of the lake but best suits someone with a car as there is a limited bus timetable to and from Varenna and is not suitable for walking. We travelled in October so perhaps there may be better transport options in the summer months. The room had everything we needed but could do with some updating."

"We had a wonderful stay at Casa Azalea! The check in process was easy, there is a walk down to the property like other reviews have mentioned, so be aware! Great communication, great suggestions for food or things to do in the area too. The property is beautiful, spacious, and clean! It has a beautiful view of the lake that we loved! "This place is AMAZING!!!!!! The hotel has everything you need and want! It's the best location. It has a lakefront pool and private beach (with lounge chairs and service) with the most incredible view ever! The setting is truly a dream! The interior is ornate and luxurious. The staff are 5-star! I love the nightly music in the parlor. The food in the restaurant is fantastic. THIS IS A MUST HOTEL!"
