We had such a wonderful stay! The host went truly above and beyond to make us feel welcome — it felt like we were staying at a friend’s home rather than a hotel. Every detail was thoughtful, and her warmth made our trip. We highly recommend renting a car, as getting around by Uber or taxi in the area can be quite difficult. Just keep in mind that the local streets are very narrow and parking can be a bit tricky. Also, be prepared for lots of stairs — Lake Como is full of them! If you’re traveling with a baby or a stroller, it’s worth planning ahead and packing light to explore the area. Despite the hills and steps, it’s an absolutely beautiful area. We enjoyed Bellagio and Varenna a lot.

Beautiful property overlooking Lake Como. Terraced and private, and offers exceptional vistas. Hosts were lovely and incredibly helpful arranging local dining, transportation, and activities. We can’t say enough about the amazing hospitality we received at Villa Constanza. The location, the building, the service were all fantastic. The tips they gave, the constant attention and help, the breakfasts — all were spectacular. They even helped us hunt down the taxi when my cellphone fell out of my pocket. I can’t say enough. We only wish we had stayed longer! It’s not easy to get around the lake, but their tips saved us!

The villa is just what we hoped for in a Lake Como villa stay. Donatella and Francesca were incredibly gracious and helpful hosts. Among other things they helped us figure out the bus and ferry options so we could visit other places on the lake. Be aware that taxis are not easy to get. The view from the villa is gorgeous, and the villa itself is charming and comfortable. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the lake is a highlight. Highly recommend Villa Costanza.

It is a beautiful property. We had a large room with our own terrace. It is in a more remote location. Easy to get to bus stop and ferry stop but you aren’t getting anyplace in a hurry, so if you’re looking for hustle and bustle this is not for you. But if you want a charming oasis, stay here. Get acquainted with the ferry schedules. Donatella was so helpful with anything we needed. Nice soft bed too which is not common in Europe. Thank you for a great stay.

We have just had the most amazing few days at Villa Constanza. Donatella was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t have a car and she helped us plan our day and even drove us when we had difficulty with getting a taxi. We ate a varied places on her recommendation, all were wonderful, particularly Aturo in Bellagio and the restaurant at Il Belvedere in Torno. The Villa is beautiful, authentic and a real cosy feel. Our room with balcony had the most amazing views with a free fireworks display most evenings. I have never had my breakfast with such a beautiful view. Breakfast was super with lots of choice and freshly baked cake by Donatella herself which was delicious. Can’t recommend enough! An unforgettable few days, thankyou Donatella x

The owners are just lovely and very helpful. Francesca anticipated our needs and was very responsive. The view and room were lovely. Access to restaurants is limited but we knew that before arriving. They helped us with taxi to and from the property, even coming from Interlaken. Lake access is a bit difficult but doable. Overall lovely place. Relaxing. Beautiful views.

Villa Costanza is a beautiful place to stay! A little difficult to find, but once you are there, you are greeted by a lovely mother/daughter team who are very kind and helpful. The room was large and gorgeous with hand faux painted walls and ceilings, a lovely large private porch and spacious bathroom. The views overlooking Lake Como are beautiful! Breakfasts are yummy!

The views are utterly spectacular. The rooms are very pleasant with comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, a small sitting area and vies of Lake Como. Francesca and her mother, the owner, are charming and go over the top to make your stay enjoyable. The pool is very refreshing and has a million dollar view of the lake. The food is excellent.
