"loved our trip to Mexico and temptations. everything involving our trip went without a hitch. booking, flight etc... booked our trip from airport to hotel thru USA transfers and would highly recommend now for the negative: the pool chair chase is crazy. we were told that the pool chairs were "first come first served" towels don't become "available" until 7:00 am and yet when I arrived at the pool, earlier and earlier each day, all the seats around the pool had towels on them already. Finally, after arriving at the pool at 6:00 am, I became aware that Lilly, the "empress of terry cloth" was taking towels off of chairs that had been out all night etc... and was putting towels out for the people who she had prearranged to "save a space" She goes down every morning at 6:00 am and puts towels out for the people who have arranged to pay her for that service. I asked her about this and she became very combative. She was not happy that her game and extra income had been exposed. "You dont see anything" "You Dont know nothing" "This is Mexico we run things here", Lots of drama but at least we figured out how to when it comes to the chair game. If you are not willing to pay Lilly for the privilege, don't get snookered into the "first come first served" mirage. Other than that, everything was great and professionally run."

"The staff at the Riu palace were wonderful. plenty of drinks available. Plenty of food, but the property was a little outdated. The beach was not really good to swim in, but that is not the fault of the property. It’s just that in May. That’s what happens with the water in Mexico. The rooms had an old tv you couldn’t see all channels but love the mini fridge and service. Some lights did not work. Elevator broke. We were told they had premium tequila like don julio. But that was not the case Staff was great. Clean tidy there were no canoes to use like at some resorts The showers at the pool and beach didn’t work. Just a sprinkle of water. Thx "

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun - All-inclusive

"BEWARE! This was our 3rd trip to The Grand MP in the last 12 months. This will be our last. Each time we have been, more & more restrictions, less inclusions. They admitted to having higher room categories available yet refused to honour my upgrade. The manager at the front desk, Jesus, was very rude to me. Book something else. This is not the place. No updating has happened to the older buildings. They just completed construction on some of the newer buildings. They look incredible. But the rest of the resort has not been up-kept. The elevator in our building was down the entire stay. There was hair in my son’s food one night at dinner. The mixed drinks have a terrible chemical flavour. Towels weren’t always replaced and we had to call a few times to get some for our showers. If zero was a rating, I’d give it that. I didn’t even use a single dollar of the credits I received - they’re not getting a single cent from me again. "

"If you value your sanity and the value of your hard earned money, avoid this place at all costs. They will cheat you at every turn possible. They charged extra for my husband, even though I had booked a 2 person room with a king bed. I had selected the 1 adult option while booking, bcoz my husbands plans were uncertain. The guy kept pointing to their additional guest policy and I tried really hard to explain that it was meant for in addition to standard occupancy which is 2 people. They tried to charge an outrageous price for airport transfer. I found one for less than half the price they quoted. The room floor was also very wet and almost greasy and slimy - perfect metaphor for the hotel and staff. Was afraid of slipping and falling. The one saving grace was the restaurant. Food was good. They also seem to have a decent pool and beach - neither of which we used since we were only there for one night. Worst hotel experience ever! Spend the extra and pick a nice one in the hotel zone. Plenty of choice there"
