About this property

Sailors Hill Retreat—Bushland Living by the Coast

  • Summary:

Set between Dunsborough and Yallingup on nearly four hectares of native bushland, this expansive retreat offers a peaceful base to experience the best of the South West. Spend your days exploring nearby beaches, wineries, and local favourites before returning to multiple living zones, a modern kitchen, air conditioning and heating, and on-site parking designed for comfortable stays. A private balcony and multiple alfresco areas invite you to slow down among the trees and reconnect with nature.

    The Space:

Nestled in native bushland with ocean glimpses, this spacious retreat offers generous living, seamless indoor-outdoor flow, and a calm, airy atmosphere that perfectly captures laid-back South West living. The main living area is centred around an oversized lounge where guests can settle in for movie nights, board games, or quiet afternoons with a book. Upstairs, a second loft-style living area offers an additional place to unwind, complete with private balcony access and elevated views over the surrounding bushland.

Designed for easy entertaining, the chef’s kitchen features expansive bench space, quality appliances, and a large island ideal for casual bites and morning coffee. The dining space comfortably brings everyone together after days spent exploring nearby beaches, wineries, and walking trails. Outside, the covered alfresco areas extend around the home with outdoor lounge seating, a dining setting, and a BBQ surrounded by lush greenery and a serene atmosphere.

The home offers two queen bedrooms and two double bedrooms, each filled with natural light and calm garden outlooks that contribute to the restful feel. The primary bedroom offers added privacy with direct outdoor access and its own ensuite, while the family bathroom includes both a separate shower and bathtub.

A private laundry area with a washer and dryer is included for added convenience, along with free garage parking and full access to the surrounding bushland grounds. Air conditioning and heating ensure ultimate comfort. Set within a quiet natural landscape, the property offers a true sense of seclusion, with local wildlife occasionally wandering through the grounds.

    Guest Access:

During your stay, you and your group will have the entire house, garden, and full bush block to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home! Check-in is via secure lockbox.

    The Neighborhood:

Positioned between Dunsborough and Yallingup, this generous retreat places you close to some of the Margaret River region's most loved beaches, wineries, and walking trails. Spend mornings swimming or surfing at Yallingup or Meelup Beach, enjoy long lunches at nearby cellar doors and breweries, or explore the cafés, boutiques, and markets of Dunsborough town centre. Nature lovers can tackle sections of the Cape to Cape Track, venture into Ngilgi Cave, or take in scenic coastal lookouts, all within an easy drive. Between June and December, an estimated 35,000 whales migrate along the coast, adding one of the region's most spectacular seasonal draws to an already full itinerary.

    Getting Around:

Parking: Free off-street parking is available.

Airport: Busselton Margaret River Airport is 35 minutes away, making it the most convenient option for fly-in guests. Perth Airport is a 2-hour 45-minute drive.

Public transport: Bus services run between Busselton and Dunsborough via Swan Transit, though a hire car is strongly recommended to fully explore the area.

    Other Things to Note:

This bushland property features an upstairs loft and peaceful natural surrounds, with local wildlife occasionally spotted around the property. Wi-Fi is available, and rubbish removal is taken care of by our team after checkout.

    Strictly no school leavers.
