"Good budget hotel - in terms of the services and amenities, it was okay. The elevators weren’t working when we arrived and since our room was on the 7th floor, we had to walk up 7 floors everyday that we were there. Overall, it is close to the mta, which was nice"

"Very close to Manhattan if you’re looking for that. Surrounding neighborhood felt a bit unsafe, especially in the evening. Staff were very kind and helpful, very service oriented. The hotel was packed with diverse patrons from many different countries and cultures who seemed like very good people. Hotel felt welcoming to everyone. The included breakfast was good, a little better and with more options than Holiday Inn Express, and the staff worked to help everyone get what they wanted even though they were crushed with people because the hotel was absolutely packed. The valet guys were so great. They put your car up on a lift in their own parking lot. Absolutely worth that $45/night to not have to worry about parking and to keep your car safe."

"The location of this hotel is amazing, no question—but it’s a little rough around the edges (e.g., rust spot in the tub, peeling wallpaper, broken shade, broken drawer in nightstand). Also, these rooms are made for TALL people. I’m on the shorter side (5 ft, 4 in.), and there were some things (like the closet) that were a bit challenging. The fitness center is fine, but they have two large televisions with no remote, which was a bummer. But the location is really quite fabulous."

"This is an older hotel, in very good condition. The rooms are smaller than some modern hotels, but we loved it. The location, with the subway 100 feet away, is fantastic. I loved this hotel!"

"Extremely rude hotel staff across the board from the front desk to the elevator guards (the day-time guards were rude, the night-time guards were totally fine and kinder). Rooms are shockingly shabby and bathrooms are unacceptably filthy. The only two perks for this hotel are the location on Broadway and the fact that the restaurant, Friedman’s, is fantastic and has excellent food and waitstaff support. "
