"Hook Wine and Linger is located close to Portland's esplanade and is a short drive from the main street. It is unfortunately also located close to a main road so the noise of cars driving past is noticeable, particularly at night. We loved the firmer mattresses on the beds. While the property does everything it promises e.g. linen and a freezer. We felt the omission of basic items such as tea and coffee provisions, bin liners and a hairdryer, left this accommodation feeling underdone. We...

"Very good location for quietness & sea views. 4-5 kms from town centre. 2 storeys with about 8 steps that are quite steep. The house has a lot of vintage character, lots of natural light & a good sense of space. However, some parts, although clean, still look a bit shabby. Instructions for entry & any other information were clear & accurate. We enjoyed our 2 night stay mid-March."
