"A really lovely stay at the Derby Arms. The room was fantastic – modern, comfortable and very well equipped, with all the amenities you could want. The bed was particularly comfortable and I had a great night’s sleep. I didn’t get the chance to eat there, unfortunately, but the menu looked excellent and definitely made me wish I’d had more time. "Hotel is well situated in Blackpool only a few meters from a Tram stop. Wheelchair entrance to the rear of the property. 2 lifts with 1 being larger to accommodate wheelchairs. All essentials ie reception, resterant, bar and entertainment ballroom are on the ground floor with easy wheelchair access. Breakfast and evening meal are good quality and portion sizes, staff are friendly and always willing to help where they can. Accessable rooms are some size but would recommend wheelchair users advise hotel staff as early as possible so they can try and accommodate. If you don’t some of the Accessable rooms are down a couple of steps with it being an old building. The bar is well stocked and reasonable priced and we had great entertainment between approx. 8 - 11pm in the Ballroom comprising of # Acts at 45 minutes each, 2 games of bingo and a host. Overall experience of the hotel was great."

"The room was clean with just the basics. There is a need to remind guests how to utilize the room. We were given two keys (card) but was unable to use the TV or the electrical outlets. Even after informing the front desk, they took it for granted that something was wrong with the electricity. Eventually it was discovered that a card had to be placed in the receptacle near the doorway to activate the outlets. Apart from that minor inconvenience our stay was enjoyable. Oh breakfast was fantastic."

"Nicely surprised. This is a big complex. Not sure how many room. Reception, bar area is really nice. Very ornate. Corridors need a good lick of paint. Room was excellent value given the price paid. Big,clean bed. Good shower. Yes it is basic, but fantastic value. I used the gym. Fantastic gym for a hotel. I had dinner and breakfast. Both very good. ALL the staff i came in contact with. Were lovely. All smiled, all very helpful. I am guessing the hotel has been through a few owners. I wish the owners all the best and hope they are supported. Thank you for an enjoyable one night stay."

"For the price we paid it was a good room. It’s a very small double room but has everything you need, bring a hairdryer as there isn’t one in the room you have to ask at reception. They supplied a fan in the room and this was needed as, despite having the window open, the room gets hot really quickly."
