The staff was very polite and seemed to genuinely want to make good impression. The concierge went above and beyond to ensure that we had tickets for rail travel.

The property had a nice atmosphere & was very clean. The staff were friendly and spoke English. I had no problems here except: the wifi was too slow.

This is a horrible hotel. Mold, dirt, smells so bad. I refrained from using the bathroom because if its smell. Internet connection slow and cuts off every 10 min. Very outdated and very very very old rooms. Smells like an old grandmas house. Do not stay here if you care about your health And if you are with children...mold is alive here.

wont be staying here again
the wifi was unpredictable, the breakfast buffet was super crowded and the front desk staff not always very helpful. i was not made to feel welcome. only a few staff members speak functional English so be prepared to use google translate to try and be understood. there is next to nothing of interest in walking distance and at rush hour dont expect to wait less than 30 minutes for a taxi or Didi car to show up.

No English. The AC was on in our room first 2 days and we froze. No English staff understood our problem. They came to adjust temp but did not work. We were told our room was not available and sent us to an upgrade in the next building. It was a loft room with shake spiral staircase to the bedroom upstairs. Our luggage was to heavy awkward to bring up. They could not find our room no for dining room and were turned away. No Coffey available! Lobby staff Did not understand request for coffee and sent us to the bar for Coffey. Bar did not open till 11am. Room had 2 Nescafé instant pkgs.

The hotel location is good. - I also found the Nepalese staff there to be fantastic. I had a few problems. Firstly, the room carpets and surfaces were not clean. I even stayed in the room while the cleaner came and watched how fast she cleaned without even looking at the carpets or wiping all surfaces. Secondly, in the breakfast restaurant I kept going to get myself a drink or some food and placing it on the table. The moment I got up to get myself something else - even a spoon, the staff cleaned everything I had just brought away! - Even a full glass of juice and a plate of food! When I told her not to she just laughed and did it again 2 minutes later! - This lead to other guests sitting at the table I had picked and me standing with a plate of food looking for a new empty table! - I asked to talk to a manager and the staff refused. Lastly, when I checked out I needed to get a taxi to the airport. Apparently ALL the concierge was on lunch at the same time.... The reception called me a taxi, but I had to explain to the taxi driver who could not speak English where I wanted to go. - Usually the concierge does this. Also, reception did not help me with my luggage. - At this time there were no other customers using reception apart from me!

Good value but ...
The hotel is far from the center of activities. We got it for a good rate and the junior suite is spacious, breakfast was good.. Few hotel staff speak English. It was difficult to communicate but the staff tried to be helpful.

Not a good option...
The hotel has terrible lack of cleaning. You could find spots everywhere, mainly on bathroom. I'd have a problem with the electrical appliances and they leave at the phone for more than 30 minutes because hotel staff doesn't speaks English even when the hotel accommodate mainly foreign guests.

issue solved quickly
The staff was able to respond to a room issue quickly and provided us with satisfactory solutions. Although the issue was unpleasant, it was dealt with soon enough and we are still quite happy with this hotel.

Good breakfast but bring Mosquito Repellent
Maybe they just liked British meat, but my room had many moquitos and I foolishly did not have any protection spray. The airconditioning was noisy and made sleep challenging. For the price though this is a pretty good hotel and the breakfast was pleasing - great choice and decent quality. Clean and courteous staff and restaurant next to hotel is good (but they dont speak English so be aware of this). Maybe there are better options for the price so not sure I'd recommend as the location is not so great either. That said its not a bad hotel - good breakfast, clean room and good facilities so one to consider.

The hotel rooms were fantastic ... We stayed in a junior suite for 12 nights ..lovely and quiet . near the subway and far enough out of the city to be quiet and enjoy the locals . breakfast was fantastic and plenty on offer . no staff speak English . the only problem we had was the leisure facilities ... The pool was not heated I complained 3 times and was told the turn it off when the hotel is quiet . the huge hot tub is in the men's changing rooms and has been bone dry empty for a long time . the sauna is usable but only if you go down and get the staff to turn it on 40 minutes before you need it . overall disappointed with the leisure as this is the reason we booked this hotel over other more central ones . another tip is the small shop across the road ... Buy bottles of soda on your way into the city for 30p or to take into your room at the end of the night !

Hotel is quite outdated. Hygiene is not good. Bathroom is moldy. Even though the hotel is non-smoking (as all hotels are mandated in Beijing), the towels smelled like smoke. Check out (even after 9AM) was long and slow. My company recently moved into this business district but I will not come back on my next business trip. Not really what I expected from an internationally branded hotel

Bad experience in Beijing
Very bad experience. Staff didn't speak any foreign language other than a handful words of English. Not helpful at all. Room heating didn't work properly, had 27 degrees Celsius in my room and couldn't adjust nor switch it off. Housekeeping "solved" the problem with an additional aircondition that they put in the room. What a bad idea. Finally they charged me for juices from the mini bar even though I didn't used it all (being a Diabetic I only drink water). Since nobody was able to talk English I wasn't able to complain accordingly. Did cost me $16 for some juice I never had...

Good room size and comfortable bed. Wifi was easy to access. The location is not ideal for first timers in Beijing as it's mostly business central so it was difficult finding things to do or quick eats.

A nice stay in beijing
I thought this hotel was very nice. Room was always well cleaned, amenities were very nice too. The staff spoke little English but a few knew enough to get me through things. Def will use this hotel again if I come back to Beijing. Just FYI the walk to the closest metro is 10-15 mins. This is the only thing I wasn't a fan about. But it still doesn't offset the quality of the hotel
