This is a very beautiful property a few km outside the city of Battambang. The rooms in the front are large, very high ceilings, with a separate seating area. And there's another large building with rooms around the pool with a restaurant attached. Food is good and inexpensive. All are decorated with Khmer bas reliefs and bright colors. One of the prettiest places I've ever stayed.

Great
I stayed at Ramchang for two days. The restaurant is delicious and the staff is very friendly. They helped me find a great Tuk Tuk driver and I had a wonderful time.

Overall stay was ok. Was in middle of no where and the rooms didn’t seem clean at all. Eating in the restraunt took ages as the staff drove into town to buy our drinks etc so we waited 40 minutes just for a beverage. The staff was quite rude, and not a nice atmosphere. We only ended up staying 2 out of our 3 nights which we had paid for.

Our room was old and basic, but spacious. The doors didn't fit the frames correctly, so the bedroom door wouldn't even close properly, but the main door was fine. There is a sitting area inside the room, separate from the sleeping are, which is nice. However, there is no glass on the window to the sitting area, so there is little to no noise reduction. The place seems to be run by a nice family; unfortunately they and their children get pretty loud during the day, and the elders had a tendency to play their music and TV shows at a ridiculous loud level (making it impossible to sit outside or even relax in the room), but they usually turned it down a bit if asked. The restaurant is 2-4 times more expensive than food in town, and not as good (smaller potions as well), which is unfortunate because there is nothing else in the area and you have to take a taxi too/from town. The biggest issue is having to Co stantky take a taxi in and out of town to eat, see the sights, or even just buy reasonably priced water (the water they sell there is 2-4 times more expensive than in a normal shop). I'd rate this place 3 stars because of the poor restaurant pricee to quality ratio, and the location (there is literally nothing in the area, just dirt roads and fields filled with liter). However, if they improved the restaurant (quality and prices) so you aren't forced to take a taxi to find decent food, it would get a solid 4 stars.

Everything was simple but great! The bed, pillow and specially the blanket were super comfy. Miss Pouy is welcoming, smiling and on time for your transport to the airport! She's the best! Very good for airport transfer or lay over.

Quaint and Upbeat decor at Ramchang
This guesthouse is very quaint and upbeat/modern and out of the city center. Thus, it was nice and quiet. The few meals I had were good. There was only one woman at the desk, periodically, who could speak English so, getting them t understand any requests is difficult but do able. If you can get an English speaking took took driver, hold onto him so he can translate any requests. I didn't have a difficult time and if you like quiet and away from the city center, this is a nice place to be. Most of the westerners there were French and did not speak English so communicating with the staff was a little more difficult.

Great value and soooo comfy!
We booked the double room garden view and it was amazingly huge. It had a huge living room with comfy lounge with seating and small fridge. There was a separate bedroom with comfy bed, soft linen and air con. The bathroom was also big. Lovely communal space outside of our room. The place is out of town but they hire motorbike for 7 USD a day which is cheaper than getting a tuk tuk to the bat cave so it worked out perfectly. Also there is a drink stall just round the corner for our morning iced coffee run. If you turn left and walk 12 mins there is a restaurant, BBQ chicken lady and shake place. We loved this hotel.

Great people and very friendly. The most comfortable bed I have stayed in SE Asia. This guesthouse is far away from town. So if you are looking for a retreat, then this is perfect. The pool is very nice.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights. The hotel is in a nice location, its quiet, the room was very clean when we arrived, the pool is lovely. BUT ... the service is almost non existent. Maybe the management were away ... our room wasn't cleaned ... I had to chase down more toilet paper, empty the rubbish bins, get water etc. When I mentioned to the staff that the room hasn't been cleaned they just shrugged. is it potentially a lovely hotel ... Yes. Would I stay again ... No

Quiet and safe place
We came from. Siem Reap, got off bus before town and got a moto to the guest house. It's a 2 km walk into the actual town. Guest house fine, pool etc. Room a bit odd, a suite really but bedroom in middle. No natural light in room. Used the creaky but free bicycles to explore. Good to feel you've stayed out of town, but we moved into town next day (walked) for more food and entertainment choices.

Little English is spoken, and if you book tours I imagine they will look after you. Food was reasonably priced and fair quality. The sandwich did have stale bread, but maybe that is a thing. Being out of town the basic rooms away from the pool have a little separate sitting area which is lovely. Being out of town, the free bikes are great and the sleep is peaceful.

Chambre spacieuse ou rien ne fonctionne, impossible de charger un téléphone sans maintenir le chargeur dans la prise parce qu'il tombe, la lumière marche un jour et pas le lendemain, l'évacuation du lavabo, la douchette des toilettes qui fuit, pas de drap seulement une couverture....loin d'être satisfaisant pour une clientèle européenne, je ne comprends pas que cette guesthouse soit commercialisée par hotels.com. J'y ai passé 3 nuits et suis contente d'en être partie.

Très bon séjour. Possibilité de louer des scooters pour 7 dollars la journée : parfait pour visiter les alentours de Battambang. La piscine est très agréable lorsqu’on rentre d’une journée de visite. Restauration sur place pratique. A l’ecart de la ville donc très calme.

L'hôtel par lui-même est bien au delà de nos attentes: belle chambre, service et accueil excellents, piscine, espaces extérieurs, restaurant très bon et pas cher. Seul point noir: à 10mn de tuk tuk de la ville par chemin terre chaotique, dans les champs. Si on veut calme, confort, bien être, à recommander vraiment ; un peu loin de la ville hélas.

Ramchang was a nice guesthouse. We booked the cheapest room located in the old part of the building. The room was spacious, had a fridge, air con and a big bed. the bathroom was a bit small and the dripped all the time which made floor constantly wet. we ate there twice but due to low season they didn't have everything on the menu.

Het wat verouderd guesthouse. Het zwembad water is erg troebel. We hadden last van veel mieren op de kamer, licht wat niet werkte, gordijnrailing die half in de muur hing. De douche kon niet opgehangen worden omdat het ophangsysysteem was afgebroken. Ze kunnen matig Engels.

Superbe chambre avec balcon donnant sur la piscine, grande douche à l'italienne ...et grande baignoire...le tout impeccable et spacieux. ( Demandez une chambre donnant sur la piscine apparemment les autres sont aveugles ). Piscine très sympa avec transats et serviettes à disposition. GH un peu excentrée dans un environnement pas terrible et un accès cahotique mais l'enceinte est un véritable oasis dans un joli jardin fleuri et reposant. Tuk tuk ou moto indispensables. Le personnel est très agréable et très à l'écoute même s'ils parlent peu anglais. Un de nos meilleurs hébergements . À recommander si vous cherchez la tranquillité .
