The property were refreshing some of their car spots with fresh paint which is great.
But there was no available spot for us to park and nothing was communicated by Reception on Check-in.
On entry the apartment had an extremely strong deorderised smell to it. It was intoxicating.
The apartment was "clean" but had quite a number of bull ants running around that we were constantly squashing.
We stayed in Apartment 23 which appears a but tired and could use some renovations to bring back up to scratch, especially since it is priced the same as other apartments in better condition.
I had requested the most modern ocean view apartment available, and specifically asked for it to be non-smoking and not around other smokers.
It seems the property has 55 non-smoking apartments.
I booked through Hotels.com which gave me a "smoking" or "non-smoking" option to choose from.
I realised on returning to our apartment later that it seemed the strong deoderised smell was to get rid of the smell of smoking.
My question is why put me in an apartment that has had someone smoking in it, or smells of smoke when I have specifically asked for the opposite???
My friends booked after me and booked direct with the property.
The apartment was more modern, better ocean view and didn't smell of smoke - everything I had asked for.
They stayed 2 nights.
Not sure if they got this apartment as they stayed an additional night or bcoz they booked directly
