"We were staying prior to embarking on a cruise. Helpful staff on check in, no lift and room on the 3rd floor. Staff helped with taking our suitcases up and down the stairs. Room quiet and spacious. Toilet flush only worked infrequently, room needed a freshen up chunks missing out of the wall and dodgy paint work. Only 1 pillow each"

"Fantastic location, castle and town centre were a five minute walk,the Thames was your doorstep,beautiful hotel very well presented,staff were second to none.....amazing. Great choice on breakfast, one of the best. One small hiccup with a special request, but it was dealt with in a very polite & professional manner and resolved quickly....we're all human. Would I stay here again........you bet, we'll impressed. Extremely well done to the Sir Christopher Wren 👏 👏 👏"

"Overall: Good stay, but limited food options The breakfast here was really excellent — fresh, tasty, and plenty of choice. That was definitely the highlight of my stay. However, the lunch and dinner options are quite limited. The menu is mostly sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and steaks — not much variety at all. In my opinion, the food just isn't worth the price. On the plus side, the drinks are reasonably priced for a hotel."

"Lovely country hotel with a quiet and cosy vibe. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We got a small upgrade on our room which was nice. The room was clean and well proportioned. The room had all necessary amenities. I liked the little touches like the small fresh milk in the fridge. We had dinner in the main restaurant which offered a nice variety or choice. We opted for 3 courses for £40 and all dishes were very nice. You could have 2 courses for £35. There is also the option to eat in the lounge bar which offered more lunchtime options and dinner choices. The wine list was slightly alarming but the staff offered good advice. We also had breakfast in the morning which was a small buffet offering yogurt, dried fruit, continental meats, croissants and fresh fruit and then the option to order a hot meal from the menu. We had a full English and a banana waffle. Overall excellent value, clean and spacious rooms, tasty food and atmospheric surroundings, all made for a pleasant trip."
