Search Bardsey hotels

The best time to visit Bardsey is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is at its most pleasant.

During this period, the days are longer and warmer, making it ideal for exploring the island's natural beauty and wildlife. You'll find the sea conditions are generally calmer, which is important for the boat journey to and from the island. This is also when the puffins are most active and visible, a real highlight for many visitors.

For those keen on birdwatching, late spring (May) and early autumn (September) can also be excellent, as these months see significant migratory bird activity. While the weather might be a little cooler or windier, the chance to spot rare species can make it worthwhile for dedicated nature enthusiasts.
