"Just fantastic and excellent all around. A beautiful location. We were fortunate with mid October weather being in the high 60s with sun and no wind which allowed us to sit outside on the patio by the lake every afternoon when we returned from touring the region. Easy access to the 1.5 mile promenade by the river made for great morning walks and easy walking to restaurants in the evening while taking in spectacular views of lake Brienz and the surrounding mountains. The train station being so close was a huge bonus for traveling anywhere from Luzern to Lauterbrunnen and beyond. And the accommodations were complete, incredibly clean, quiet and comfortable. "This property is a working farm. It is a rustic as the owner described. The owner lives in the other half of the house. We were met by our host on arrival and had some challenges with the language since we do not speak German. The house was clean and it was spacious. The kitchen had an adequate supply of pots and pans but there was no microwave which made some things more challenging. We had a worn down heavily used scrub pad in the kitchen that we had to replace. You have to haul your trash to the nearest town so if staying more than 1-2 days you need to buy trash bags. We were a little surprised that you have to replenish any coffee pods (we did) or dishwasher tablets (we hand washed) you use. The washer annd drier were convenient. Upon departure our host and her son did a house inspection while we waited outside to ensure “you did not break anything” (we did not). Overall the house was comfortable and served its purpose to explore the area. "
