"The room in need of updating. Toilet very low. The room itself was very dark, the mattress needs to be changed. There was air conditioning. The availability of restaurants not handy at all. Nice restaurant and bakery close but was closed Mon-Tues and not opened until 11:00 am Wednesday. Snacks available at front desk. The lady running motel was very friendly and helpful. Not expensive so it is what it is."

"This was a great place to stop and stay on our 3 day Cabot Trail adventure. The Trailsman is clean, easy to get around and staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms patio was a welcomed surprise - it gave us a place to enjoy the weather, the waterfront and sit in our own Adirondack chairs. I happily recommend the Trailsman Lodge!"

"Clean room and nice location away from the busy towns. 15 mins to the Cabot Trail, 25 to Baddeck. Three outdoor fire pits with plenty of seating for all. Housekeeping on request, very helpful and quick to respond. There is a trade off with the lower price, there is no microwave or coffee maker, there is a small spot around the corner that makes great coffee called Dans Things. We stayed six nights and bout a cheap electric kettle at Walmart 20 mins away in Sydney. Fridge and AC worked great. I would stay here again!"
