"Overall this was a nice trip. The access to the beach has changed however and is a bit farther than listed. Our parents had a hard time due to to walking. The house itself was great. Overall we all had a fun time."

"The house is right on dunes overlooking the ocean. The views are unobstructed and breathtaking. Coffee on the deck with the sunrise is an unforgettable experience. Walk over the dunes and you are on a huge beach with few people."

"Very clean with some maintenance issues. The dryer did not work, sliding door locks did not work on any of the doors. Piece of ceiling was falling in one of the bedrooms. The worst part was the dryer did not work though. Overall a nice house."

"Property was as advertised. Dining table is a pool table. Flip over top and can play table tennis. Only aspect not appreciated was toilet in Master bedroom has no door. But we knew this going in and managed just fine with the floor plan."

"Everything about our stay was excellent and the only thing we did not have was towels that were avaliable for us. I loved how close to the ocean we were walking distance and how close we were to the restaurants in Avon NC around the town."

"On our way down, the owner contacted us to tell us that the previous guest had broken the stove. They asked if it was ok to come replace it and they compensated us with lunch for interrupting our visit, which was not necessary, but grateful for the awesome pizza! They are extremely friendly and it was a great location. The kids loved all of the different rooms and especially the loft and balconies. If ever in the Outer Banks again, we will definitely reach out to them."

"House is just as pictured - walking distance to stores and restaurants. The beach is roughly a 5 minute walk away. Has games and books to read on the rainy days, which came in handy for one afternoon"

"Another great OBX stay is in the books! The house was very clean, on a quiet street, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hot tub is awesome, and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck. You can easily walk to a few nearby restaurants and shops! We would stay at the Tropicana Cabana again!"

"So fun! This house has the best location!!! The beach is literally in your backyard and yet two blocks in the other directions is a grocery store, restaurants, and shopping. The house was super clean and we could just enjoy right away. It could use some sprucing up but that seems trivial when you look at all it has to offer. I also loved that the managing company left incidentals so we didn’t need to spend extra money on those items. Just thinking of this house I hear the ocean waves calling!"

"We stayed with 3 of our grown children during the early Spring. Sunset Cottage offered exactly the right location for easy water sport access on the Sound side and walking distance to town, beach, or the pier. The perfect size for family. Loved the shady option of the ground level covered deck. All aspects of decor and amenities were covered and Merle was quick to reply to any questions. Thanks for making of family holiday smooth and enjoyable."

"Property was as described and was in a great location. When we arrived everything was ready and the property was very well cleaned. The hot tub, the views and location are perfect for a nice getaway. There is plenty to do all around the property and stores and restaurants are all nearby."

The negatives: small roaches in the dishwasher, old carpet is stained throughout the house, and the beds have definitely seen better days. "Come Seas the Day was just right for our family. Easy and enjoyable walk to the beach and the sound. Grocery and delicious restaurants really close by. We spent many hours in the backyard together because the pool (can be heated), hot tub, and firepit are all right there. Had a fun night teaching the kids the constellations while hanging around the firepit. Kitchen offered all we needed and there was plenty of pantry space for our things. "The house was perfect. Very clean, spacious, and right next to the public beach access path. The pool and hot tub were both very clean. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, but we stayed busy in and around the house and utilized the hot tub on the chilly nights! 10/10 would recommend!"

"Little one room apartment that is close to great restaurants, Avon pier and a charge point. Teslas need the IKITS CCS1 Charger Adapter. If you are out playing all day and don’t need a seat with a view - its a great place to sleep make breakfast and go!"

"The house fit all of us comfortably with the many bedroom options. A plus would be if they offered linens like most rentals. Having to pack sheets & towels is a big hassle. The house was spacious but a bit dated. Beautiful views but for older folks - it’s a lot of stairs - just fyi. Nice location with dock for fishing and riding kayaks."
