"Dusty room in areas. Rubbish behind bedside cabinet. Couldn’t get to plug easily to charge my phone as it was behind the cabinet and when pulled out there was thick dust and rubbish behind it. No deep clean for a long time. Dirty windows, old cobwebs around it. Pool was not in use so very disappointed as we had stayed there for this reason. "

"Hotel is clean, staff very attentive, bed very comfortable and bathroom clean. Very good breakfast, actually too much if you have the full English. Hotel is a little tired in places, but provides excellent value for money. If, like us ypu only use a hotel to sleep, I would highly recommend this place. A little way outside the town centre, about a 25 min walk, which is reflected in the excellent value for money. Hotel has a large car park"

"Lots of space for cars at the front of the barn. Dog friendly with enclosed front and back gravel/stone garden and a very close by small paddock for doggie toilet. Dogs not allowed upstairs or on furniture as expected. Jo met me as I arrived and was very welcoming. Easy access through coded gate to the barn. Fabulous wood burner and plenty of logs as a welcome supply ( more available to buy too). A beautiful family place to stay. "

"Our stay this weekend was excellent lovely spacious bedroom, decent size TV too! Very clean. Alison is such a warm and friendly person we liked her immediately. Breakfast was a good choice too. We will definitely go back again and maybe take some friends with us as the castle is great plus the town. Lots of restaurant's to chose from. 😀 "
