"Beautiful resort"

Radisson Hotel Phoenix Airport

8/10 Good

"Well the location was convenient and the lobby was attractive and functional. The staff were very accommodating. My first king room was clean, functional the bathroom tub was a little rusted and there were no handholds in the tub. Front desk was attentive, respectful and responsive. Housekeeping was wonderful and maintenance responded to a toilet overflow and a high temperature in the cooler. My second room was an accessable queen, the floors had hard water buildup, smelled of mold and the bed was terrible. I needed the queen due to an unforseen emergency. Grateful to have it through Expedia. It was extremely expensive"

Arizona Grand Resort & Spa

8/10 Good

"Stayed 6 nights with just me and my 6 year old daughter. Biggest complaint is that we never received full housekeeping services. On day 3, requested housekeeping but they just made the bed and didn’t provide new towels or cleaning or anything like that. No microwave was very problematic for us. Used the text line to hopefully get assistance in securing horseback riding for the next day but was just given a number to call and told that they couldn’t make outside reservations for us. Expensive as to be expected. Very unpleasant and random sewage smells throughout property and waterpark. TV guide didn’t match what was actually playing and very few channels available so that was slightly frustrating. The positive…easy parking and decent room across from waterpark. Resort pools were basically empty which was nice. Staff were nice. Waterpark was smaller than I anticipated but fun. Overall, enjoyable stay but disappointed in housekeeping, smells, and concierge services. I would stay again, but maybe just 1-2 days for the waterpark and find a nicer place for the rest of the trip!"

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Avant?

The best time to go to Avant, Arizona, is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) months.

During these periods, the weather is pleasantly mild, with warm days and cool evenings, making it ideal for exploring the desert landscape and enjoying outdoor activities. Average daytime temperatures range from 20-30°C (68-86°F), great for hiking in the nearby Avant National Park or visiting the Avant Desert Botanical Garden. These seasons also avoid the extreme heat of summer and the cooler, sometimes rainy, days of winter.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find these months particularly appealing. The clear skies offer stunning sunsets over the desert, and many resorts feature outdoor dining experiences that are most enjoyable when the temperatures are comfortable. You can also explore the local art galleries and boutique shops without the crowds of peak season.

For those planning an active holiday, spring and autumn provide excellent conditions for golfing, cycling, and hot air balloon rides. The comfortable temperatures allow for longer periods outdoors, and the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert is at its most spectacular.

Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?

Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy.
