Perfect for Families
This is a great property for families. Our 8 year old enjoyef playing with the toys on-site. Plenty of room and a nice view from the upstairs balcony.

Akaroa Hide Away
After we found the right road (there was no road sign at the start of the road) and negotiated the steep drive we found a very pleasant and well-appointed property. It had everything you need for group or family holiday. There are some repairs needed in the downstairs bathroom, but everything worked well. We were an older group of men and had plenty to do and a family group would find even more.

Perfect for family!
This was perfect for our family stay of 6 adults, 1 x 7 year old and a 7 month old baby. Well equipped and with plenty to keep the 7 year old amused especially as the weather was very wet! We will return sometime!

two day family stay
We were happy with the accomodation, although a little tired. It rained all weekend and were impressed at all the games and entertainment available to keep the kids and ourselves occupied. Over all, a very relaxing weekend.

Sole Sisters
Our group of six ladies came to Akaroa to walk The Banks Pennisula Track. Seaclusion was our base for two days after the walk to explore Akaroa. Lovely house with lots of room for us to spread out. Well provisioned with everything we needed. We even enjoyed the walk into and back from town

Couple of feedback comments - would be great if there was body wash provided and extra toilet paper. Some towels might need a few washes. They were dry but the ones that felt wet when you used them. We were down for a family wedding so did not spend a great deal of time at the property.

Great for larger family groups
Great location although the driveway is quite steep to get out off. The pool table and games were much appreciated and the property was large enough to have everyone together or to have their own space. Well equipped kitchen and large dinning table. Excellent communication from Annette, the property manager.

Gorgeous family stay
Excellent location and well set up property for a family with small kids - especially one travelling light (ie from rural Australia for us). Plenty to keep the kids occupied when the weather wasn’t on our side and lots to explore nearby when it was. Would also be great for multiple families/larger groups - would recommended fighting for the main bedroom upstairs! Great view and super comfy super huge bed

Heaven on the hill
This house is just perfect for big groups . We were 6 mums getting away for the weekend plenty of space . The bird sounds , view out the kitchen window ( ever changing mountain backdrop ) the view from the front lawn while sipping on wine and the sun setting . Very comfortable beds and decent couches in the lounge room ( a lot of places have crappy uncomfortable couches ) these were great . I really could have stayed longer . Very helpful host . You have a wonderful house

Great place for extended family holiday
The house was well set up for extended family with grandparents upstairs & young children & their parents downstairs. Great toys for the kids and just enough outside to keep them very happy. Thrilled that towels for the beach were also available. Stunning views from the upstairs deck. Great place for sundowners. House comfortable and relaxed with great provision of staples.

Arrival in dark very difficult, very steep access road down to house, definitely helps having the house location notes which we hadn't received unfortunately. Need to know in advance that a house alarm exists and what code is which we hadn't received). Otherwise a nice quiet location with bird song in the morning. Would be nice in summer on deck I imagine. Owner very apologetic for not sending information sheet due to illness.

Akaroa weekend for an 80th
The property was perfect for a large group of us celebrating my mothers 80th. Worked fine but furnishings and interior a bit tired. A couple of the chairs around dining table were broken. Photos make it look a bit less tired than it really is. Still was fine for what we wanted

Great Extended Family weekend away!
Great location for our weekend in Akaroa, steep driveway but parking was available up on the cul de sac for our boat. Felt like home away from home, very peaceful spot & lovely view of the water from upstairs balcony. the layout of bedrooms suited all our needs with children, teenagers & adults to be catered for, the teens really enjoyed the pool & darts room as an extra space and the board games.

Lovely comfortable home away from home
We enjoyed the peaceful comfortable vibe, stacks of games, the view from the deck, the walk up & down the hill to town through bush, and the bird life. A nice touch was the box of all sorts of goodies we could ‘help ourselves to’ if we’d forgotten anything.

Hi Bruce, thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with the spiders - in the 5 years we have owned the property we have never experienced them! As you kindly noted, we go to great lengths to equip the house with all items to ensure an enjoyable stay for our guests and I assure you spiders aren't one of them! We already undertake twice yearly precautionary pest control as part of our ongoing maintenance program however after your feedback I arranged for the house to be internally and externally additionally treated which occurred yesterday. Great spot for family get together
This was a great venue for 7 family members to get together and catch up over the weekend. Plenty of room to congregate together, a table big enough for eat at and play cards, and walking distance to town. Drive is very steep and road up very narrow, but plenty of parking. We struck quite changeable weather but lots of activities available, including a pool table, kept us occupied nicely. Recommend.
