"We often stay at Fiesta Americana when we visit Merida to attend the symphony, Venados football matches, the White Night, etc. It is an elegant hotel with a beautiful atrium as well as a nice gym and resort style pool and jacuzzi area. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the mattresses and bedding are heavenly. We stay in the Fiesta Club rooms and truly enjoy the added breakfast buffet and evening tapas. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"Location was good, condition of the hotel was well maintained, there was convenient on-site free parking and the staff were attentive. The downside was the power cuts that we experienced in the two afternoons when we were in the hotel. Both were due to heavy rain affecting the electricity provider's old infrastructure. The first afternoon was only for a few minutes, but the second afternoon was for three hours. We did speak to management about potentially cancelling our stay, but fortunately the electricity came back on before we had to move. The Holiday Inn was not the only hotel affected, but it did affect our stay."
