"This is a recently renovated old hotel. It still has that grand hotel ambience. It's a little off the city center but is still quite easy to walk to all the things you want to see or eat. The sea view is actually a view of the ferry port, so that's not much. The breakfast is excellent. Overall, it's quite nice. "

The mansion is beautiful, our room was amazing with a private balcony and the pool looks over the valley and Heraklion. Go to the village restaurant Stelios recommends, it was one of the best meals my wife and I have ever had. "Wonderful breakfast, lovely room. A bit of mix up regarding city tax that was collected upon checking in and again at check out. No one informed us the tax was per night. I would have thought all taxes would have been collected at check in."

"We only stayed here for a night to be close to the ferry port. It was a cute boutique hotel, with a rooftop restaurant with incredible views overlooking the harbor. Recommend for an affordable stay."

"Hotel Sofia is a very nice, well appointed hotel near the airport. Some late afternoon aircraft noise, but no problem overnight. On a side street so quiet, but only 100yds to public transport to city. Also a range of shops and eateries in same area. Pool area good. Breakfast had a good selection. Would recommend. Staff very friendly and helpful."
