Another view of the gorgeous Elafonissi Beach on Crete Island, Greece. Crete is Greece's largest island and has no shortage of stunning beaches to explore! However, this was by far our favorite because it is where we got engaged! TIP: go early or late (a few hours prior to sunset) to beat the crowds and have you own little cove to yourself to admire all that pretty pink sand! #lifeatexpedia
Elafonissi will forever be one of the most special beaches to my Fiance and me, as this is where we got engaged in July of 2017!! This is where you can find pink sand on the beach and clear waters excellent for snorkeling. TIP: come early or late (1 - 2 hours prior to sunset) as those are the least busy times. This is a very popular tourist destination. There is little shade, so bring an umbrella or a floppy hat. There are several tavernas on the beach if you get hungry! #beaches #greece #lifeatexpedia #blue

An absolute gem. The private beach is much nicer than the photos, perfect for snorkelling, the two pools are great and all the amenities kept in great condition. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff always friendly. It’s probably the best hotel anywhere near this price, fully recommend!

The host is incredibly friendly and cleans the room daily. Although the outdoor area is somewhat cluttered, the space is kept clean. He assisted us in finding a trustworthy taxi driver who charged fair rates and generously lent us beach equipment at no cost.

Chania is a beautiful city with many options available to you. It is not a small tourist town. It is a full sized city where locals live and work all year round. Great experience. Also very easy to fly into and base your holiday from.
