"We recommend this hotel for all the right reasons for travelers. Close to everything, clean, comfortable, quiet, and a good bass camp. It is worth noting that most accommodations in Japan/Asia and Europe are smaller than North American accommodations. When we travel, we head out early in the morning and come back late at night, so the hotel is our resting spot for the evening. "

"We stayed at this property during our group OAT tour and then returned after visiting Okayama and Nioshima for two days. The hotel is excellent and the breakfast buffet amazing! Plus, the hotel was very gracious about letting us store some of our luggage during the two days when we were not in Kyoto. "Great welcome at check in. Lovely large, spotless room with everything we needed. Comfortable bed, sofa and desk. Great bathroom with toiletries and hairdryer provided. We used the washers/dryers on floor 2 which worked well. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, all very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful when we were forwarding our luggage to our next hotel. Great location, a short walk from the main rail station. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."

"Hotel was clean in room, but foyer out of lift and corridor to room way too dark. Breakfast was average didnt cater much for non asian people.( i understand we are in Japan but other hotels offered alot more choice) Pillows way to hard even though i asked for a softer one. Hotel is close to shops, food, buses, subway and Gion district. Our stay was ok but wouldnt use hotel again. "

"The train station is literally a hallway away from outside of the building! It was super convenient, and for a hotel room of this size the price was very fair. The hotel is also close to the Kyōto imperial palace, which is definitely worth visiting.
