“Very Italian”

It was wonderful! It was exactly the experience we wanted to get out of Italy. The room was charming! Old Italian flare.

“Great little hotel”

Our expectations were more than exceeded at this hotel. Our room was really pretty with silk lined walls and matching bedding. The staff were really friendly and helpful and all spoke english well. It is brilliantly located, right on the waterfront where the water buses arrive and 2 minutes walk from San Marco. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone

“Loved it.”

Staying for just one night, it was a perfect location. Right next to Piazza San Marco, were many restaurants and things to do nearby, and an easy walk to the Rialto. We loved seeing the bridge of sighs in the evening on our way back to the hotel. The rooms and baths were very nice and quiet (ours was in the main building + facing a small courtyard). We enjoyed seeing the original ceiling structure. The room was actually a bit bigger than most that we stayed at during our travels throughout Italy.

Small, conveniently located and recently renovated. Attentive service and quiet rooms. Only handicap: quality of breakfast (included in rate) is not excellent.

“CANNOT WAIT TO GO BACK”

The Paganelli Hotel is a tourist's dream come true. It is right accross a water bus stop (San Zaccaria). The hotel is close to every major Venice attraction such as San Marco's Square, Saint Mark's Cathedral, and the Palazzo Ducale. Breaksfast is very good and plentiful. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Massimo, one of the front desk people, goes beyond the call of duty to make one's stay pleasant and smooth. He has excellent tips to get around the city and where and when to go.

“Perfect for the water transport”

We stayed here from Monday evening until early Thursday morning. The room was very pleasant with a king size bed. We had a room phone and flat screen TV with satellite channels. The bathroom was small but perfectly formed with white marbel tiling throughout. The bathroom suite was modern and white and well styled. Our only problem was with the shower head which would not stay in position. From personal experience we recommend one fixed to flow from above. This was the problem is solved. The receptionists were welcoming and very helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect in that it was just across from the landing stages for water buses and the like.

“Excellent!! A great place to stay in Venice and would highly recommend it!”

We had a room with a view of the lagoon - it was brilliant! (we requested this type of room when booking, make sure you do too - it is well worth it!). The view from the window was just amazing, you could just sit with a glass of wine and be captivated by the amazing sights. It is so easy to get there from the airport as the water bus stops immediately in front of the hotel!!(San Zaccaria). Water bus stops are right outside as well taking you up the Grand Canal, to the Lido or to the islands of Murano & Burano. St Marks is just a 2 minute walk away!! Buffet breakfast was served in the hotels annexe round the corner and although nothing special it was more than adequate. Staff were all very good and helpfull too. The room was excellent as it had been recently refurbished. It was also very clean and maid service was excellent too. All in all I would highly recommend the Hotel Paganelli as an excellent base to explore Venice.
