“Excellent Hotel in excellent location in Venice”

The Hotel Metropole turned out to be every bit as good as we were hoping. Lovely ambiance, good service, friendly staff. Breakfast was comprehensive but a little chaotic when very busy. However, this is a minor niggle and the hotel was a great base for a relaxing stay in Venice. Located right on the lagoon and only a few minutes walk from St Mark's square it was ideally placed for sight-seeing. Loads of restaurants nearby too.

“Location and Quality”

A first class hotel with a 'boutique hotel' character overlooking the lagoon literally 5 mins from St Marks Square. Everything was excellent. Breakfast in the beautiful garden particularly memorable, as was the complimentary water taxi to Murano. One word of caution, book before you arrive if you want the Michelin starred restaurant. We missed out on that treat.

“Perfect Hotel Location & Service”

The hotel is ideally located right by the water bus stops which is convenient for day to day sight seeing. However Venice is quite small and easily walkable. Transfer from the airport was really easy using a private water taxi(worth the cost of 95 Euros) as it was less hassle for 4 people including luggage and drops you at the hotel's private jetty so no negotiating bridges (or looking lost!!) with luggage and children!! Breakfast is plentiful and service pleasant - all staff unfailingly polite and cheerful. Housekeeping is immaculate - each time we went out the room was tidied.

“Hotel Metropole - Venice”

We were absolutely delighted with this super hotel. The location, five minutes from St Mark's Square, was ideal and very convenient. The decor was stunning and the room very comfortable indeed. The buffet breakfast was a treat in itself. We did not eat in the restaurant as the Michelin Star made it rather expensive, but it all looked very good. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

“Liked it there during thanksgiving weekend.”

Hi, we spent there 3 nights in hotel Metropole, and I think it the way to see Venice. Location is superb. Hotel has a lot of history, building was originally built in 1300 something, so that alone says much about it, but insides are very nice and clean, there is no odor of any sort - what else would you want? Rooms are clean, not huge, but nice, there is LCD tv in the room. Did I mention location? Two blocks from san marco and one block from water shuttle stop - very convenient. Concierge and service was good, we had a great vacation. City was not crowded at all, just on Saturday we had a hint of how Venice probably looks during summer months - it was a lot of people everywhere.

“We would stay here again”

Very comfortable hotel with pleasant staff and a nice breakfast buffet with lots of choice. We didn't use the restaurant as it was rather expensive and there are so many within easy reach. Our room on the small side but this didn't bother us as it was only a place to sleep. The hotel also has very pleasant public rooms and a bar, neither o which we used.

“Fabulous hotel with great service”

We had a lovely stay at the Metropole for our anniversary, service was excellent - they even brought a free bottle of prosecco to our room to celebrate. The restaurant were also very good to us when my husband fell ill during the meal, bringing desert to our room so we could finish. Great location, and a unique feel to the hotel just added to our experience. Breakfast in the Garden was also a lovely treat.
