“Perfect base for Venice”
The hotel was everything other reviewers had said. The reception staff were unfailingly helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the AC worked! The breakfast is excellent and the location is perfect for exploring Venice
“A brilliantly located base”
Very impressed with the hotel - spotlessly clean, very helpful staff and centrally located near St Mark's and the Rialto. Air conditioning in the room was very welcome. A great base for a short trip.
“Great stay!!!”
Great location ( thanks to other Expedia guests postings we found it with no problem- do not rely on the address!) Lovely little hotel with incredibly friendly staff. Every single person we dealt with there were warm and helpful. Perfect location - near everything but quiet on a little street. I will stay here whenever I can!! HIghly recommend!!!
“Four star hotel in Venice”
Hotel Canaletto is near San Lio Church, in the heart of Venice. The Rialto Bridge is 220 yards away.Piazza San Marco is within walking distance. The hotal has 38 elegant rooms. An excellent breakfast is provided by the hotel. It is in a very good location for sightseeing. The english speaking staff was very helpful. The room was realy large by European standards. It was was very clean. If handicap accessibility is an issue you need to find an alternate choice. This is a challenge all over the city of Venice because of the canals and numbeous bridges which need to be traversed to see the various attractions. It was a very enjoyable stay.
“FANTASTIC LOCATION”
The hotel cannot be beat for location although a little hard to find for a start. The standard rooms are very small but we upgraded to one overlooking the canal and it was fantastic, well worth paying extra. Don't go to the island of Morano with the hotel free tour as this is a ripoff. They take you to a big expensive factory and then you still have to pay to come back via the public ferry. The island itself is well worth a visit as it is not as crowded and the shops are plentiful and cheap and they sell the same glass as the over priced factory.
“EXCELLENT HOTEL”
I would absolutely stay at this hotel again and would recommend anyone stay here. The location is fantastic, and is only a 5 minute walk from the Rialto. This is also very close to St Marks (no more than 10 minutes). The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are clean, bathrooms are small but that is to be expected. Decent breakfeast buffet, with AMAZING coffee. I wouldn't hesitate to book a room here, it is great.
“Great hotel”
The hotel has everything I needed. The staff is really helpful, they explained me everythign I needed to know. It's a clean hotel, the breakfast is great for a three star hotel, and the decoration is really nice. It's near the Rialto bridge, so the neighborhood is nice. I would definitely go back to the Canaleto Hotel if I ever go to Venece again.
“"Small but Comfy in Venice"”
Location is terrific. 5 minute walk to Rialto Bridge or San Marco Piazza. Rooms are small as most European hotel rooms are, but still very efficient. Very clean and adequate. Hotel able to accomodate 3 people to a room with 3 twin beds. You won't want to spend much time in your room anyway while in Venice. Hotel staff very nice and pleasant. Front Desk more than helpful answering questions about the City. Fluent in English .Save the high cost of private water taxi and take affordable public water taxi from Marco Polo Airport to Rialto stop. Download directions beforehand as city is very confusing. 5 minute walk to Hotel. For reasonable drinks to go, (take -away as Italians say), stop at Crazy Pizza around corner from Hotel. Bacarro Jazz Club has great happy hour. Devil's Forest Pub (Irish) nearby has fun and festive bartenders. Would definitely stay at Hotel Canaletto again.
“excellent service, great location, beautiful room”
excellent service, great location, beautiful room
“Close to Rialto Bridge”
Really only 5 minutes from the water bus stop at Rialto, but first trip took us about 15 minutes! After that it was a breeze and really easy to get around. With a very small detour there was only one bridge to take the bags over which was good. Hotel staff all spoke English making things easier and they were very helpful and obliging.
