Overall, a great hotel.
We arrived Tuesday afternoon ready for a 3 night stay. Staff were helpful, check-in was quick, a bell boy carried our bags to our room.
The room was beautiful, exactly like the pictures. I had read in the reviews prior to arriving that there was no air conditioning in the rooms, although there was in our room. We found that keeping the windows closed throughout the day really helped to keep the heat out. Our only fault about the room was the view. We booked a standard room, so wasn’t expecting much, but all we saw was a window to a room for the hotel next door.
Maids were very frequent and done a thorough job. Fresh towels and toiletries every day. We had read reviews about the shower flooding the bathrooms in each room, this did happen for us. But, this was easily resolved. We tilted the shower head down and low. My partner is tall, so he had a bath every day rather than a shower, this wasn’t a massive issue for us. Upon check-out, we were slapped with a bill of 38 euros. This was due to the fact we had been using the ‘mini bar’. We had assumed the 2 bottles of water and 1 can of coke left in our private fridge daily were complimentary - we were wrong.
The reception staff were very helpful with giving us some guidance of the city. They explained how the water bus worked and also printed us out a timetable. The hotel has its own pier right outside, train station and water bus stop right opposite. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
