“Small rooms but very comfortable, clean, great location”
This Sandman Hotel is in Vancouver's city center entertainment district. While the view out our 2nd floor window was not great, we were offered the option of a higher room. For sure, the rooms are somewhat small and the parking garage elevator is well worn, everything else about the hotel was great.
“Great place to stay for games or concerts. Everything close by.”
Clean rooms, affordable, friendly staff and close to everything. We will be back..Thanks Sandman
“Right hotel for the good price”
I went to Vancouver to get some personal business done. The hotel is cozy and clean. Service people are nice, too.
“not impressed”
Small room. No closet or even a hook to hang clothing. We did not even get help in finding a way to get to the room. Close to Rogers arena is not good enough to justify the discomfort.
“Sandman”
No problems.
“Close to BC Place and Rogers Arena”
We stayed one night in the hotel when we came to Vancouver to go to a concert. What we found irritating was that in our special requests we asked for a quiet room with two beds. When we got to the room, not only it had one bed, but there was a VERY loud noise coming from the room's wall. When we went back to the lobby and told them that there was no way we would stay in the room, we were told that they were aware that the room had this noise, they got previous complaints about it and couldn't do anything about the noise. They gave us another room that was very quiet and had two beds. Beds actually were extremely comforable and the room was nice. I just wish they could get it right the first time! I understand trying to get rid of bad rooms ASAP but when you request a quiet location and get the noisiest room in the building, it just doesn't create an impression of a good service.
“Sandman Review”
Looking for a place to sleep after a concert. It was that. Staff was fine, room was clean, basic amenities provided (wireless, shampoo, TV). Main complaint was the mattresses which were not very comfortable (too hard).
“Impressed”
We were very happy with this hotel and the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. This was our first visit to Vancouver but not our last. We would definitely stay at the Sandman Hotel Vancouver City Center. The location is perfect. We could walk to the riverfront, Gastown and Yale Town. Several restaurants are in the area. Moxie's is connected to the hotel and the food was excellent.
“Perfect location for Roger's Arena event”
Customer service was excellent. We ended up having an extra person join us, and they were able to move us to a slightly larger room to accommodate the roll-away (which they didn't even charge us for). Very helpful with directions and parking is in the same building, with in-and-out privledges. Walking distance to Roger's Arena. Will definitely stay here again for the next concert!
“Older Hotel But Maintained Very Well”
Older hotel but very well maintained, good value for the money
