“Great hotel in Tours”

I selected the Best Western in Tours and crosses my fingers, but was so happily surprised with nice lobby, great room and wonderful bathroom. I would go there again and again. Only challenge was weak WiFi but it was free and worked most of the time. They have a free computer in the lobby that you can use anytime. The breakfast was extensive, but kind of expensive.

Area recommendations

The location of the Hotel was good as it is close to restraunts and shopping. We also walked easily to the train and tourist center to catch a tour bus.

“A quaint hotel in the center of Tours---a quaint French town”

The Central Hotel was, in fact, centrally as well as conveniently located in Tours and an easy walk from the train station. Staff was very friendly, helpful and curteous...and all spoke, at least, serviceable English. Size-wise, our room was more than adequate---especially by European standards. The bathroom was fantastic...and the general cleanliness and maintenance was outstanding! The buffet breakfast was very good, albeit relatively expensive. An accessible computer was provided near the hotel lobby free-of-charge, which was not only very convenient, but also usually available. We spent 6 nights there...and would definitely recommend it to others as well as stay there again ourselves.

Traveller's tip

Be sure to understand upfront that, whatever various website screens may imply, the buffet breakfast is NOT complimentary. And, while Tours is a wonderful town, our 6 night stay was a bit too long...about 4 days would have been perfect.
