“Clean and Convenient”

The location of this hotel was perfect -- right between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain and near a subway stop. The hotel was very clean and the room was much larger than I expect from a European Hotel. The staff offered us a room with a smaller side room due to the amount of luggage we had with us. The staff were helpful in arranging transportation to the port of Civitaveccia when the trains were on strike and we had no other means of travel. The hotel also has a pleasant lounge/ bar inside the property as well as a charming solarium where they serve the continental breakfast that is part of your costs.

“Quite nice overall”

Everything was pretty nice on the whole; just note that the rooms are very small, and that the layout of the hotel is a bit winding.

“Hotel King - Great Location”

My friend and I came to Rome for the first time and we stayed for 8 days in King Hotel. The hotel offered everything one would expect from a three stars hotel facilities wise. The two things that bothered me was that the handle that holds the shower attached to the wall was broken/absent and the water in the bathroom was leaking from somewhere. We didn't report these to the management, but I think that the shower handle should have been fixed prior to guests arrival as a part of hotel maintenance. A general note about the breakfast - there are no fruits and vegetables, but there's an orange juice. As to location - the location is perfect: within the walking distance from all the main attractions (Trevi fountain - 5-7 min walk), near a metro station (3 min walk), near a shopping streets, a very safe area to walk around in the evening. There are a lot of restaraunts near by, two InterSpar stores (5-7 min walk), one Upim store (5 min walk). For those who are willing to compromise between the hotel facilities and the location, I would definitely recommend this hotel because it's location simply perfect for the tourists, and after walking around the city I don't think we a saw a hotel with the same star rating in a better location.

“Excellent location, 2 mins from Spanish Steps and bus stop, 10 mins from Trevi Fountain”

The hotel was in a very good location, near all the sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a fair size, with a nice shower, aircon, lovely big windows, hairdryer and Sky TV. The hotel could do with a little TLC, but for the price, it was excellent. There was also a lovely terrace to eat breakfast on. I've put my money in the Trevi Fountain to make sure I return!

“Superb position and quiet”

Superb quiet position just 2 minutes walk to top of Spanish Steps, 10 minutes to Trevi Fountain. Good restaurants, cafes and bars in the same street.Metro Barberini is one minute walk..4 Euros for a day pass includes all buses. Hotel staff very helpful, very good breakfast till 1030. Room a bit shabby and in need of decoration but perfectly acceptable. Bed a little hard. Very efficient air conditioning. Would recommend for the position and price alone...and convenient flights from London City Airport via Zurich on Swissair.

“Great no frills accommodation”

No complains about the hotel or the service during my 1 week stay. Decent no frills hotel - had everything I was looking for - bed, breakfast, air conditioning and free wi-fi. Not forgetting a lift for tired feet at the end of a long day's sightseeing. :-) Not the newest hotel but it was clean and tidy with helpful English speaking staff. 24 hour reception cover so always someone available if you arrive late or need assistance.

“Great hotel on a budget”

Very pleasant staff. Small but clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast but a little chaotic when crowded. Very good location. Would recommend.
