“Perfect!”
We chose the Holiday Inn because we're familiar with the standard and had never been out to Thailand before. We were amazed on how lovely the hotel was, a much higher standard than we have ever had in either Europe or N. America! It's staff are extremely helpful and friendly and will help you with anything you need. The hotel is open plan and very different to anything we have experienced with this chain before. There are 2 parts to the hotel one with rooms and one with villas. The side with the villas has a better pool, and you have to be staying in one of the villas to be able to use it, but it did not ruin our stay, we were out and about and at the beaches anyway. Cleanliness is fantastic, daily room clean up and sweep and they replenish the free refreshments. They also give you 2 free bottles of water everyday. Linen and towel change was every 2 days or so. The food is expensive onsite, especially in the steak restaurant, we never saw more than a few people in there. We ordered room service a couple of times and thought it was good value for the money. We ate out in the local area mostly, how could you not, it's some of the best food in the world! Location wise it is perfect. The beach is across the road and it is away from Bang La so it's not noisy at night (bar the advertising vehicles going by with their loud speakers!) I would go back to this hotel again and again. More than happy and pleasantly surprised! You'll have a fantastic time when you go!
“Wonderful hotel, great location”
Breakfast in the hotel was great with a huge range available, although you could get cheaper breakfasts at the local cafe's if you wished. Location was central to everything and hotel was across the road from Patong Beach. There are 2 public pools, one with a swim-up bar, and we never had any trouble finding a lounge next to the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and cool. Security was also good. The rooms were expensive, but you get what you pay for. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Great Phuket Hotel”
Holiday Inn Phuket was a great hotel. The staff was friendly and willing to please. It's on the beach and close to the shopping and the clubs. The rooms were quite big and comfortable. There were a couple of large pools. The adult pool was really clean and nice but a bit shallow. The pool for the adults and kids was deeper but could have been cleaner. The food and drinks were very reasonable and great quality.

The room we stayed in was overlooking one of the secluded pools and felt like we were the only ones there. Lovely...
“Great location and beautiful resort”
This place was great, really central to the street markets shopping and the pools and room was fantastic.
“Better options available”
Pros: Good location in downtown Patong, with almost direct access to the beach and the main drag (beach in Patong is always crowded. If you want some leg room, go to the coves north or south of Patong) and great pools IF you like kids around. They were undergoing a major facelift while I was there but once that's completed should be quite nice. Cons: Internet fee was OUTRAGEOUS. Walk down the road to an internet cafe if you want to check email. Beach side pool is very loud and crowded. Better options exist if you want a place to escape the madness of Patong (while staying there!)
“If you want to be in the city: good hotel”
The hotel is simple, not too expensive, the 'currently-under construction' wing has a fantastic saline pool, the spa is great (though not cheap compared to the 'spas' on the street), and the service is good.
