“Great location for shopping in NYC”
Good service and location, clean comfortable although small room, close to Macy's, fashion district and other shopping, as well as to UN offices.
“Great hotel”
The service was excellent. I lost my phone and we had our provider overnight us a phone to the hotel with no problems. The location of hotel was great. The continental breakfast was good. The room was small but ok.
“Very nice hotel in fantastic location”
The hotel is right in the Fashion Avenue of NYC. All the major shops and restaurants are very nearby within walking distance. Although there is construction going on in the next building, we were not affected by the noise. This might also be because we visited during the Thanksgiving holidays when most people were off work. The standard double-bed room we had was small but comfortable. One thing we didn't like is that the restaurant next to the hotel always piled up loads of rubbish in front of their shop. The rubbish was not cleared promptly and that could attract mice, rats and other pests. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
“Great value, location and totally impressed”
I wasn't sure what to expect with this hotel, but man, was I impressed. It was super clean, the staff was great and totally accommodating, it had a vintage vibe to it which I loved and I felt comfortable and at home the entire stay. I liked that it wasn't in Times Square, but close enough for a nice walk to that area. The subway entrance was literally only a half block making the location totally convenient and accessible. i couldn't have asked for better location considering there were so many restaurants and shops (hello Macy's!) within the block. The continental breakfast was a nice touch and a great option to have in the morning. Bottom line: totally impressed, felt like I got my money's (for what you pay in NYC), and definitely pleased. I will return for sure.
“Fantastic location, awesome free breakfast, great price”
We came to NY to see Phantom of the Opera, have a few cocktails and a nice dinner without the kids. Hotel Metro was a great price (by NY standards), within walking distance of Broadway, Times Square, Bryant Park and 2 blocks from Macy's. While I'm not big on continental breakfasts, Hotel Metro's was an extremely pleasant surprise (and definitely saved us another $40). Our room was spacious and spotless, and the hotel has a lot more Big Apple charm than the Hilton or Hampton Inn on the same block. Service was very effecient and friendly. I would certainly recommend staying here.
“I don't recomend this hotel”
The hotel was well locate. It was cleaned but the room and the bed were very small. My husband could not sleep because the bed was too small. I don not recommend this hotel.
“Convinient small hotel”
Across from Macy's Department Store, very convenient to most of the attractions, but rooms are tight for 2 people and limited services are offered. Would recommend single travelers, not for family/couples.
“great for the price”
The hotel is walking distance from any tourist attractions, Empire State Building, Broadway, etc. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The price was excellent; the room was smal but well designed and more than adequate. Best place for the weekend to see a play or simply enjoy the vibrancy of the "big city".
“Great Midtown West location - good value for NYC”
enjoyed our stay at Hotel Metro immensely - rooms was clean, good continental breakfast, great location in midtown west...very powerful, hot water in the shower...couldn't have turned out better.
“Great location, good deal”
Good and confortable hotel near main attractions in Manhatan. Hotel staff really helpfull and polite. Despite some tricky questions with electronic safe (kind of difficult to reset the code) and bathroom's door, front desk and maintenance staff were really fast solving this minor episodes. The room with one queen bed I stay was very small but confortable and clean and seems to be recently refurbished, including the bathroom. There was a constructuon by the hotel so it could be noisy during work days. As I stay friday thru sunday I really didnt realize this. Mertro station is in the corner same block, Macys and many other stores are really close and Empire State bldg is only two blocks by walking. Complimentary breakfest is OK ( better than most other hotels of same category that dont have it) and wirelless internet was fast and stble ( better than Sheraton Seattle's). Bell door men were polite and helpfull. Housekeeping was ok to. Overall experience with this hotel was really good.
