Hotel is very run down not that clean and really needs doing up would not have paid the prices they are asking direct with the hotel just not worth it okay on the web site Good job the hotel is for sale However The room was tidy and beds clean Would use the room again The shower needs a good clean the toilet needs seeing to The kettle didn’t work in a few plug points The fridge well food and milk next day well not tasting right and slightly warm Overall I’d give it a 6

Very low class standard outdated hotel
Pictures on the web and in actual situation are different. The last time the rooms were painted must be around 20 years ago. Furniture in the room is broken. Not even a spare toilet roll is left in the room. Very dingy hotel. Reception staff not always helpful. Charges for luggage left in reception area. breakfast area staff were very nice. Would certainly not recommend hotel to anyone.

The location of the hotel is GREAT. I however would NOT call this a hotel. I would call it a cheap hostel. Condition of property is poor. We rented 2 rooms. 1 room was leaking water out of the sink, the 2nd room smelled like sewer gas was coming out of the bathroom. My dorm room was twice as big as room #1. We had to put a suitcase in the shower overnight because there was no room to set it down. Only way to stay here is if your going to go out and drunk and just sleep it off for 6 hours. I refused to shower here.

Shower didn’t work properly was boiling or freezing. Room was tiny 1 pillow each. Borrowed a hair dryer that smelt like it was going to burn out. Looked like it hadn’t been painted for a long time. Lock on the door was sceptical. Needs massively updating no lift so get ready to hike up stairs with cases

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and served by very attentive people. It was summer and hot, and the room had no aircon so it could be uncomfortable at times with the heat.

Very basic hotel , no lift had to climb five stair cases , we asked for a fan which they told us we could but when we went to get it they said they hadn’t got one , the window latches were broken , not enough towels and hardly any water pressure in the shower

Where do i start,the room was dirty although there were fresh sheets on bed,dirty curtains on one window & the other 2 windows didnt even have curtains so people could look in (which they did). The best thing was the breakfast.

Unfortunately, we didn’t expect much from the hotel. However, when we arrived we understood that expecting something good was just unnecessary. Bathroom walls were covered in mould, whenever we took a shower the whole bathroom smelled like a public toilet due to God knows what. It seemed like no one cleaned the floor in months as there was a layer of dirt under beds and someone’s hair always appeared everywhere. It was rather scary to leave the key at the reception when leaving the hotel because you could have said any door number when coming back and the key would have been given to you. People changed at reception every time so no one knew your face and didn’t seem to bother. Overall it wasn’t a pleasant stay and not sure it was worth the money... some hotels on the same street seemed so much better and for the same price.

Cheap but not cheerful
Room had a window which didn’t have a lock on it so could be lifted from outside, room needs total uplift, staff were quite ignorant, booked parking with them over phone, paid £40 to park two nights and all they did was parcel my car on a pavement outside, very concerned my car would get pranged as it’s a very busy lane, area was very unnerving as there’s a lot of dodgy looking locals, prostitution on the street, trying to sleep was tough as you can hear everything in the hotel, and the both nights we slept there was women crying and screaming which was worrying.

Hotel room very small and not cleaned very well. Breakfast room not fit for purpose as too small! People queuing out the door waiting for tables to become free. Two servers for breakfast, one very polite and one rude!

Cheap mattress, toilet wasn’t clean, fridge noisy so unplugged it, very strong smell of cooking chicken in the room Sunday morning, took ages to check-in because they couldn’t find the booking, shower area needed a clean, my mrs found a pube in the sink but I said it could be an armpit hair as they do look the same, I know it was only £60 but I think they should be paying us £60 to stay, they had it better in “I’m a celebrity” Paul and Sandra High Wycombe

Ventures was in very poor condition. The bathroom was not only very small but the walls from floor to ceiling was covered in mold as well as the shower stall. One of the bed’s mattress was sunken in and ratty condition. Needless to say, we did not stay the night. Management refused to refund our money. Nasty place....

Good budget hotel
A cheaper London Hotel that includes an English breakfast through the week and continental at a weekend. The area is close to Hyde Park and tube stops are within easy reach. Rooms were small but clean, the shower was just part of the room so steam could be an issue. Water on a morning can take a few minutes to come through warm but be careful of the shower tap as ours worked opposite to the colours, the hot was marked cold and vice versa. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very nice also. They could do with double glazing though as it's close to a busy road with no let up in traffic and sirens going past. Hotel is great for anyone on a budget, we would stay again

Breakfast was exceptional!service by staff, outstanding. The hotel is dated and needs a revamp but seeing as we spent more time outside than in the hotel it was a great place to get your head down and have a fantastic breakfast ready for the day.

The hotel staff were very friendly, the room was in need of work, dirty paint work & grubby shower. not bad for the money & in a good position in London. nice area with some shops & pubs. The worst thing was the slamming of doors, & loud taking at night from other guests, they have no consideration for people trying to sleep. The staff might like to remind people to keep the noise down at night. I would stay again, but with a little effort on the noise issue, it could be a better experience.

Old smelly broken run down
If we hadn’t payed up front for our 3night stay in this hotel we would have walked out. We were put in the basement dingy roasting but still damp smelling it was clean but dated and needed everything in room replacing. Hole in laminate, hole bodged up in worktop. warped shelf’s. Dado on walls missing. mouldy bathroom, filthy broken couch. I dare not even look under the sheets. It was b&b but after seeing our room we did not eat here we skipped breakfast and just ate out.

Good budget hotel.
The hotel is good for cost and location. Really close to two underground stations (paddington and edgware road). Great for the cost (~75-90 pounds/night) having personal bath/shower, refrigerator, microwave and free english breakfast was a good deal. This is a no frills hotel, but the service was nice and accommodating.

Brilliant location for the West End
Overall the hotel was good value. Our room was in the basement so not brilliant position, however, the sheets, towels, floors and bathroom was clean enough. Breakfast was brilliant and the staff were very attentive. Definitely worth the price for central location in W2.
