“For a 2-star hotel, this one is a perfect 10”

For the price it charges, this hotel is definitely a good deal. My room was very clean. It had enough space. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was great. And above all, the location cannot be any better. It's a block away from the Camberlitas tram stop, and within 10 minutes walk to all tourist attractions. This hotel made my stay in Istanbul a great one.

“Great location”

This hotel is in an excellent location for all the attractions, with the Grand Bizarre, Blue Mosque, St Sophia and the sea no more than 10 minutes walk in any direction. The Hotel staff are very helpful and very accommodating. The only down side is that it is very noisy at night as the traffic past the hotel is constant and the drivers seem to hoot at anything.

Excellent value, great location, easy walking distance to major attractions. Rooms small but clean. Staff very helpful and friendly.

“Certainly one of the best in Eminonu”

The staff at the hotel are just so friendly that you do not even feel you are in a foreign country. The hotel is situated near the main attractions and some of the best restaurants. It is certainly value for money. I highly reccommend this hotel to everyone and I am definitely going to use it in future as well as I am definitely coming back to Istanbul especially to Eminonu.

“Our Turkey Adventure”

This hotel is a very simple hotel with very small rooms. However, the service was great and the location was VERY great- just a few minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and the St. Sophia and all the major tourist activities- and is even closer to the Metro and the Grand Bazzaar. It is in a quiet location but yet just two minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of Istanbul's major attractions. The restaurants near the hotel are wonderful and inexpensive. The only problem we had was not getting our wake-up call a couple of times but overall, great for the money and location!

“Great Location”

This hotel is a small hotel in the heart of the tourist district of Istanbul. The hotel staff was very nice, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The price of this hotel is good which is why we booked it. According to what you pay, it is a good deal. It is not a 5 star luxury hotel, but if you are looking for a descent hotel for not a lot of money, this is perfect.... The location makes it perfect because it is within walking distance to all the major attractions like the Grand Bazaar and the Sultanahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque) There was a grocery store across the street from the hotel, and a nice refridgerator in the room where we keep cold drinks and snacks. The hotel laundry service was reasonable, and quick. The paper indicated that clothes left for cleaning and pressing would be returned the next day, but that night when we returned from walking, everything was in the room, cleaned and pressed.

“Good base from which to explore Istanbul”

Great location just south of Divan Yolu, at the Cemberlitas stop on the tram. You can walk to all major sights in the old city from here. Turkish breakfast served daily from 7am until 10am. Piyer Loti Cad. is well lit and safe at night. Good walking shoes are a must in Istanbul because of the hills and the mediocre maintenance of sidewalks, and the Golden Crown is downhill from Divan Yolu. Unfortunately, no terrace with views, altho front windows are massive. Be prepared for garbage pickups at midnight and prayer calls at dawn. Hotel has own website to check out amenities and photos. This is a 2 star hotel and the only common areas are the lobby and the dining room. 24 hour room service is available. As anywhere in Istanbul, you are advised not to drink from the tap.

good location, 5 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Top Kapi clean and comfortable rooms breakfast is ok with delicious eggs but no meat

“Istanbul so good they named it once”

The hotel unusually for Old Istanbul was set in a pleasant location over looking a small town square and nearer the top of the hill... This meant the Grand Bazaar and the Blue Mosque were within easy walking distance. There are plenty of good clean restaurants serving the local delicacies of sheik kebabs and fish menus just moments away from the hotels front door. The famous fish restaurant quarter is just a 10 minute walk away at the bottom of the steep hill. The staff within the hotel were very helpful always will to help or carry your bag. I suggest if you can book a room at the front of the hotel as the view from the rear is restricted by the buildings just 10 feet away to the rear. The only down side was the free Wi-Fi in the hotel was a bit hit and miss but thats only a minor niggle to what was a very pleasant stay for me.
