“great with one reservation”
great except for the bed - too hard. the staff did provide padding for the other nights that we stayed and the bed was better. the restaurant was outstanding and the views were excellent. I would go again, but get the extra padding on the bed from the outset.
“Sumptuous breakfast with fabulous view”
Our room at the Armada was slightly smaller than we had expected from the photographs on their website, but it was very comfortable, clean and efficiently maintained. The view from our room was excellent, and the location of the hotel is perfect for wandering around the Old City. The breakfasts which were served on their roof terrace with a view of the Blue Mosque and St. Sophia were also excellent. I have already recommended the Armada to several friends.

Great hotel and location, if you are good walker. Front desk staff helpful if not overly friendly, and sometimes not always knowledgeable about recommendations. Go with concierge instead, who's not always there. Fabulous view from room and terrace.
“Good Hotel”
Pros - Nice rooms, pergo wood floors, modern bathroom, stand-up shower, wireless internet access in rooms, great sea view in Superior Room, live turtles in reception, two computers business center with printers, nice meeting rooms, lots of English language TV channels including BBC, CNN and movie channels, great location - easy walk to historic sites, plenty of taxis coming by hotel if walking isn't desired, one block off of seawall, courteous staff. Cons - weak wireless signal in rooms - periodically losing connection, rooms are small but comfy, standard rooms don't face the ocean - view is of some shanty buildings just behind the hotel, second floor rooms are below the restaurant on the roof - could hear carts rolling around in the restaurant kitchen (?) starting around 11pm - earplugs helped drown out the noise, only standup shower, no bathtub to soak in, no iron or ironing board in the room.
