“Great Place”
Great Place to stay, everything you needed in a house was avaliable. Friendly people around and enough space for everyone to enjoy themselves.
“Great stay!”
Turtle Resort Apartments had it all! Tennis courts, mini golf, 5 pools (one adult only) spa, cinema, 2 great places to eat, one of which does the most awesome pizza, 2 games rooms, 2 play rooms & 9 BBQs! The apartments are not serviced during the time you stay, but there are facilities (hoover etc) so you can keep it looking clean. Our apartment also had a mini laundry (washer/dryer). It is in a great location, close to Surfers, short drive from airport & beaches. My only worry was that the apartment doors do not lock completely shut when you are inside. Unless you use the flip lock above the actual lock, the door can be opened easily at all times (only from inside, still locked outside). This was a worry because we have a 3yr old sleep walker! The flip lock also allows the door to open, perhaps about an inch (so similar to a chain) and we were worried that little fingers would get trapped (while sleepwalking) in said door. So to prevent this, we ended up having to push a heavy chair against the door, which was a hassle. All in all a great stay, would definitely go again. But will always be aware of door issue.
“Value for your dollar!”
My family loved staying at Turtle Beach Resort. The facilities were fantastic and the resort had a very relaxed, friendly vibe to it. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the kitchen which appeared to have been cleaned in a hurry..........! You must try the wood fire pizza's if you stay here, they are delicious! Overall we had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, definitely great value for your dollar!
“Lovely Family stay”
We had an excellent experiance as our children were aged 6 & 9. We stayed in a second floor carpeted apartment which was absolutley perfect for us. My Brother had a younger child. 2 years old. They stayed on a ground floor apartment which was not carpeted & the wee boy was able to keep getting out of the low wall around the deck. So my advise is to use a second floor apartment if you have small children. There was plenty to do. Lots of swimming pools, the mini golf was fun, and we totally enjoyed our stay
“Great for Kids!”
A great holiday! Turtle Beach Resort is well located and away from the concrete jungle that is Surfers Paradise. The accommodation and amenities are starting to show there age somewhat but are well maintained. Staff are helpful and willing to assist. The layout is very good and security is excellent. Amenities for kids are very good and for families this resort ticks most of the boxes. A good variety of swimming areas and activities for the kids. The quality of food is good but at a price. Service on food is not a strong point be prepared to wait. We waited 50 minutes to be served 2 pizzas from the wood fired pizza restaurant by which time we had converted the order to a take away because the kids had fallen asleep..no so good! By contrast Pizza Hut is close by.....10mins wait time and less than half the price...Take note!
“Expected more”
The front desk staff were very helpful and polite after a long unexpected flight and travelling. The pizza restaurant was lovely and staff were very quick with the orders. Would of like a few more things in the kitchen for a 4 star apartment. Baking tray and more oven dishes. Scruber or non-scratch sponge for the pot and pans. I was also expecting more facilities in the living area which were listed but not provided.
“Good - but zero customer service”
Good place except for the staff. Staff generally unhelpful and abrupt. As there are no lifts we asked for assistance with bags as both of us had recent medical conditions preventing us from lifting any thing. Staff refused and said they dont do that. Also had to wait 40mins for a cup of coffee in their restaurant. Other than that it was a nice place!!
“A little disappointing”
Room and common areas are tired and in need of repaint / clean. Limited crockery etc within rooms and linen a bit old (inlcuding holes in sheets). Tutle Club is a great idea, however somewhat restricted as can't leave premises. Turtle Club has been recently renovated and staff very pleasant. Bit of a shame that x-box games are not time limited as kids aren't engaged in other activities. Food at Cafe and Pizzera are good. Would probably suit large family/friend groups who are wanting to spend their days in one spot. If you are small family would suggest appartment close to beach with similiar facilities such as pool and tennis court and use the beach playgrounds for kids entertainment.
