Hi Sandra, EVERY hotel world-world requires a bond from a guest for security purposes and from our end it's more for any damage that is done to the property or to cover lost keys etc and we definitely don't give out room keys prior to this deposit be paid. You have booked an apartment at a boutique complex and our office hours are clearly stated on our website, if you wanted someone to greet you at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon i suggest that you book at a 24hour hotel. As soon as you phoned us about the smell in the fridge Ben dropped everything and was up in a number of minutes to rectify the problem and ensured it was all fixed for you and your husband it definitely was not off milk it was water that had been sitting in the bottom of the fridge due to the previous guest turning the fridge up to high, either way the problem was fixed and your husband was extremely thankful. Our cleaning standards are of extremely high standards as you would be able to see from guest reviews across all our third party sites. All that we ask is that you leave our apartments are left how you found them, dishes washed up and rubbish taken out we don't think this is too much to ask when booking at a "fully self-contained" apartment, if you leave dirty dishes and rubbish everywhere our cleaners charge us extra time and the charge gets on-forwarded to our guest if need be, you left your apartment spotless so i am not sure why this concerns you so much. Also we don't advertise as having air-conditioner in the bedrooms only living areas, so if this was a deal breaker for you i suggest you do your research prior to booking your accommodation. Hi Robert, Yes our apartments are 20 years old but a large percentage of our guests believe that our apartments are at a fantastic standard for their age. In future please let us know what small things were missing prior to your departure or during your stay so we can attend to these if it was going to make your stay more enjoyable. Hi Trevor, We are boutique apartments our reception isn't open 24hrs a day however we are contactable 24hrs if our guests require any assistance, there was a sign stating back in half an hour with office open as you left a note on my desk, we were out the front cleaning as i am sure you would have seen us. Also as you were staying with us for two days you would have been aware that you needed to remove your car from the carpark with a fob, so i am not sure why you would need instructions stating this before dropping your key back?? we also assisted you with a key to remove your car.
