“Great relaxing stay”
Loved the stay, everything clean and cosey, kids had a great time (Big kids too) didnt want to leave. Great for families. Very friendly environment and relaxing. We will see you again :)
“Great family escape”
We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment and it was great. Gorgeous pool just outside the door. Air conditioned living area and lots of ceiling fans - in living area and all bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen. Pool and BBQ area beautifully maintained. All in all, we had a great stay. Kids also loved the playground.
“Would definitely go back”
The pool at this hotel is unbelievable. Probably best suited to families but we were 4 adults and liked it very much. Would definitely go again.
“Breakfree best in Broadbeach”
Great family place to stay. We had 6 in a 3 bedroom 2 floor unit. there was plenty of room for everyone. The pool/bbq area was fantastic. It was hard to get the kids out of the pool. Games room is great for older kids. Walking distance to Pacific Fair, restaurants, beach. I would definately stay here again, we loved it!

Fantastic experience. The staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were great. The pools are very well kept. The room was fine and clean and self contained. It was comfortable and prefectly fine. It wasn't anything flash compared to the upper end 5 star hotels but I wasn't after flash. I was after somewhere where my 3 x children are welcomed and just be kids in a friendly and family orientated place and Breakfree is just that. I recommend it to anyone who has children. They will love it and so will the adults.
“Looking forward to a room by the pool.... but no.”
One very strong suggestion I would make for this Hotel is when you make a booking on line there is no way of knowing if you have a room around the pool or in the back rows. When we booked in the thought we had a room by the pool, when we discovered we had a room at the front looking out onto the street we were very disappointed. The room was very nice and clean but we were looking forward to a room by the pool. When we checked out, another group of people were booking in and had the same response when they discovered they did not have a room by the pool. Appartently a room by the pool is more expensive, we paid full rate !!
“Apartments are a bit ordinary”
Staff were great .......but the apartments are a bit ordinary. Nice big pool and spa! The hotel staff ordered a Thrifty rental car and a GPS for me, there were no GPS available so I asked for a street directory, the car then was delivered but without a street directory. Thankfully the hotel staff loaned me one. I do not recommend Thrifty rental cars.
“Do not stay here”
Our recommendation would be not to stay here. We checked into room 119 - it was very dated, dusty and windows in the front of building dirty and mouldy. alot of mismatched furniture, worn green carpet and alot of different painted walls, it was awful. My husband complained but they said that they could do nothing until monday (the next day) I wasnt happy at all, so went back to reception and demanded a new room, told to check out room 21 and was told it had been updated by owner - certainly in my opinion was not upgraded, and thou not as bad as room 119 not up to my standards, I went back to reception and said I was going to cancel and find somewhere that was clean, tidy on this they gave me keys to room 33 - This room was acceptable, newer carpets and at least furniture all matched and beds had valances on them rather than exposed bases!. No air conditioning, just ceiling fans. The resort is old no lifts so if you get checked into 3rd floor you have to carry your luggage up and down, Some of the Expedia photos of this resort are not the resort - the white high rise photos need to be removed. Alos the map indicates it is across the road to the beach this is incorrect and is half way along Alexander Ave.
