“Comfortable, Clean, Homely and located in the town centre”
Great place in Croydon. I was travelling to central london and it only took fifteen minutes from East Croydon, it cost me less than half the price of a central london hotel. Place was clean, confortable and the staff were helpful. Internet was fast and free. Oh and they gave me a free drink voucher for the Bar next door. Use of my private kitchen was great as i am a strict vegitarian and tend not to like restaurants. Definitely worth staying at.
“Good, fairly cheap place to stay”
Not a regular hotel as such and not too central but, equally, no great distance from the centre. My room was perfectly adequate for one, had a double bed (I had a single last time I stayed here) and I have to say it was a really comfortable bed too! You have a mini kitchen and a decent bathroom ensuite. There's something slightly strange about the water I think; a funny musty smell but nothing terrible. The staff are very obliging and the drinks tray is very good - even two pouches of Capri Sun orange drink! Free wireless internet.
“Reasonable hotel”
Reasonable studio close to bus stop and underground. Neighborhood a bit rowdy at night but never felt unsafe. Room is very basic but did have kitchenette and a reasonable supply of dishes and appliances. Bathroom/shower EXTREMELY small. Room was clean, but again, very basic from the linens to the very tiny tv. Street noise did get bothersome on the weekend nights.
“Not Central London”
The hotel is located in Croyden, a 10 to 15 minute wallk to Croyden East Brit Rail. A zone 6 travel card is required to get to London Victoria, but if you're planning to do alot of hopping around in London is well worth the money, particularly if you purchase 3 day travel card. Room had hot plate, micro, and fridge plus utensils and plates. Wide variety of good restaurants in area and pubs. Definitely beats paying big $ for central London.
“Impressed!”
Friendly helpful staff, easy to find. Any small problems or requests dealt with swiftly. Affordable, and nicely furnished.
“Tulsi”
Despite some of the previous reviews, I found this place ideal for what I wanted: a five day business trip. The staff were extremely helpful and sincere; even to the point of moving cars to ensure that I had a parking space. Location is really good with a local Tesco express just a stone’s throw away, which was perfect for purchasing provisions for the kitchenette in the room. The welcome tray was a nice touch with Capri-Sun Orange drink, tea, coffee, milk, sugar and even a couple packs of biscuits – which you rarely get these days. Plenty of local restaurants and take-away should you want to use them. Only a 15 minute drive to Biggin Hill Airport, but I can’t say how long to central London as I didn’t go. The only downsides were that the plumbing could do with a little tweaking, double glazing would also reduce the noise and, as always these days, the towels are too small. But overall, I would have no hesitation in staying here again and I will do on my next visit.
“Cionvenient location for Croiydon centre, clean rooms”
Certainly not 3*, but the rooms were clean, coffee-, etc. making facilities provided, as well as microwave, some crockery etc. It will suit business travellers (free wifi access)| or anyone who does not intend spending much time in their hotel room. Not very easy to find, partly because of the one-way system, and parking can be a problem (street parking with meters). Helpful staff
