“would stay here again”

hotel is in a perfect location. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful. There is two pools one is of the restaurant and the other in the center of the hotel The surroundings are are clean and relaxing. The breakfast is a great spread that caters for all food needs.

Area recommendations
a must is going down to the beach just before sunset. There is plenty of options where you sit i recommending sitting under the trees where you can drink bintang and have a laugh with the Balinese people. The Bintang is cold and cheap
Getting around
lot's of transport options motor bikes if your game, if you get a taxi make sure you get the blue bird taxi as the run a meter and are honest
Shopping
lot's of shopping just remember to barta for a good price there is no rule about how much you should pay we look at it if we got it cheaper than at home then we where happy.
Dining
so many eating options the restaurants in around poppy's lane 1 and 2 seem to be cheaper than the one's around the hotel but even these one's are cheap it up to you how much you want to pay.

“Cant wait to come back next year”

We cannot wait to return. Staff were very friendly and went out of there way to make you feel comfortable. Lovely place to stay very relaxing. Hotel was centrally located especially for myself it was my first time and I found it very easy to get around without my daughter . My daughter has been 3 times to Bali and has said this is the best place she has stayed in. I will be staying here next year when i return for my other daughters wedding which will be in bali.

“Good mid range hotel”

Great location – close to everything Friendly staff Good security Buffet Breakfast Two pools Hotel room needs bathroom renovation. The only problem was construction of flap jacks right under our room (April 2011). So you heard loud noises. When booking maybe ask if construction has finished or a room away from it.

“Ramayana the centre of Kuta”

The Ramayana has apparently recently been renovated. It is a balinese style resort, in the Centre of Kuta. The rooms are great and comfortable and clean. The staff were great. They have 2 pools, one in the centre of the resort and one near the front. The spa is fantastic with lots of different types of treatments available. There are about 4 restaurants in the resort complex, which are open to the public also and cater to the different styles of foods. The stadium sports bar / restaurant is great on weekends when there is always some sports event happening. So its a lively place to drink and eat. Ramayana Resort is in a great location. It is central to everything. You can pretty much walk everywhere, from the entertainment strip in Kuta, to Discovery Plaza, the Waterbom Park and beach. If you dont want to walk, it is so easy to jump on the back of a bike/catch a cab around. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and family groups.

“You can find better”

I booked myself for a Deluxe king size bed room and paid in advance. When I arrived for check in they asked me to stay in a twin bed because they did not have any king size bed left! Then I complained and finally they agreed that they should give me what I paid for!!!! The next morning breakfast was a chaos. 17 people on the queue for egg station. No cups left for juice or milk so I pinched a cup from bar. The hotel looks very nice. They only have one lift for the entire complex. The complex has two sides one side which has no lift so you have to walk up and down and the other side which has only one lift so there will be a little waiting time to get into the lift. The internet is not for free. The shampoo and body wash are in containers and not sealed. For food I recommend to go out. Staff are nice and the bar man is quite skilful and drinks are nice but a bit overpriced. Beers (Bintang) is 2.5 times more expensive at the hotel bar than if you drink it at the beach from local sales people. Location, you can defiantly find better! Kuta beach is the dirtiest beach I have ever seen, so if you are going for the beach (swim & sports) go to other resorts on the other side of island or go to Phuket in Thailand. My and my two friends that I found from hotel hired a local tour guide to take us around. The nature there was very nice. Overall, I am not impressed at all.

“Great location but tour desk left not great..”

On the outside, the hotel was great. Location is central and very convenient to walk around and access most amenities. However, check in was quite slow and room a bit old. We need to carry luggages up and down as there was no lift in our block. Check out was equally slow. Not sure if it was due to high occupancy or it is a norm there. We engage tour desk to do a day tour but driver left us in a shopping outlet and we could not get a cab to get back to hotl as it is middle of an expressway. We said 'drop us at Quicksilver for a short while' and he thought drop us there. Seriously, who in the right mind ( a tourist who has engaged your services) will ask you to drop them somewhere they are not familiar with in rain and darkness, and thereafter to find their way back by themselves. What is the point of engagint he full day tour driver and car? If not sure, I think he should ask. He was apologetic but we were worried by the incident. If you just wanna wonder around the hotel for massages and shop, this place is ok. But I would not recommend the tour desk..

“Quite disappointed”

They overbooked me and then tried to send me to their sister hotel. The food was quite bad: I did order chicken satay, which was really fried chicken (satay should be barbequed). When I inquired about it, the person who delivered the room service lied to me saying that it was "first barbequed, then fried". The wireless internet connection was very poor. The room was very standard, almost back-packing quality. Service staff attitude was polite but quite impersonal. Overall, quite bad. I guess that they gave up long ago on the aspiration of providing good quality service and food. Book only if your expectations for a 4 stars hotel are low.

“Bali is not that great !!!”

With very little money invested on the rahabilitation of the airconditioning system, this hotel could appear in a much better image and leave better impression

Area recommendations
Kuta is not the best place if you prefer the sea. There is nothing to do in the evening other than dining out. Night life is quite poor.. Grahadi, where they claim the action is, is really unimpressive.. If you prefer to be beside the beach, Nusa Dua is the place.
Getting around
Renting a chauffeur driven car for US$ 40 (12 hours) is the best way to go places.. You can pick up the hot spots from the front desk in the hotel and ask the driver to drive you wherever you want go.. A small tip: is to get an idea about the Bali Map, before you decide on your day itinarary. The driver for sure can help you in this respect.
