“Quality hotel in top location”
Overakk could not have been happier It is a quality hotel at a very reasonable cost
“best hotel”
good service
“Stuck in Auckland”
Great service and location.
“Great Location”
The Hotel was in a great location, Basic and clean-good value for money, ... only one problem- the construction site next door , awake at 6 am with workers yellng drilling ext...even Sat morning-
“Not Impressed”
Hotel location is central, reception was nice But room was small, dirty carpets and wall, building exterior lights in my window (no possible to have dark in the room at night). Bed was confortable and clean. But not a 3 stars hotel for me.
“Quaint hotel in a great location”
On the main street so noise can be an issue. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was small but on holidays it didn't matter. Room maintenance a little variable but never enough to be a real issue. Five minutes from the harbour and main rail/bus hub. The tariff was very competitive probably due to the time of year.
“Great Location & staff”
Great location from all city tourist attractions. The staff will help you with stuff to do if your unsure. Gym only has few things. Spa is good. No wet sauna only dry.
“Great Hotel”
This hotel was very comfortable. My room had a kitchenette with a sink, dishes, microwave, refrigerator. This was nice because you could take home food from a restaurant and re-heat it, or go to a supermarket and pick up some items to eat in your room. There was a sauna just down the hall. I did not go up to the fitness center, so I can't comment. If you have a laptop or mobile device with you, you can access 30 minutes of free internet in the lobby. Location is perfectly situated on Queen Street - minutes away from the ferry terminal and right in the middle of the shopping. I'd definitely stay here again if back in Auckland.
“but not for the parking charges.”
Prefer the other ACCOR hotel around the corner in Custom's street but this was all that was available or offered to us via Expedia. It is fine for people who don't have to park a car. Car parking charges were exhorbitant. Also try not to make online booking if very tired and emotional as we were over a dear friend's sudden death. If flying from the Gold Coast TO AUCKLAND.....DON'T GO VIA SYDNEY!!!
“Small but convenient”
It was a short break but enjoyable. Did as much as one can do in 4 days, lots of tours and lots of walking around, but Auckland is small enough to enjoy it's many facets by juming from bus to bus. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and green and so many things to do - we went black water rafting and throughly enjoyed it.
