3/5 Okay

Good hotel for those wanting close proximity to entertainment precincts (10-15 minutes easy walk to the viaduct and under 5 minutes to the Casino/Sky Tower), and a comfortable nights rest.
Staff were warm and welcoming, though the property probably is showing its age, as a Heritage Hotel, the fittings and fixtures probably have more character than luxury, and the converted bath based shower, kitchen facilities and furnishings have seen better days. The satellite TV was fuzzy on any/all channels.
The Tower wing is a substantial walk from reception and leading you outside under a covered walkway past residents apartments, tennis court etc. to get to the lifts, its a good 3-5 minutes walk to those rooms.
The hotel restaurant was closed (due to COVID impacts on business), so there was no food options at the hotel (including no mini bar) ... so unless you order uber eats you would need to go outside of the hotel for food.
Despite that, the rate was competitive, the room warm, quiet and comfortable. Check out was fast and easy, so overall I would still recommend it for those looking for a decent hotel in a great location.
