There were three main issues with the Kurrajong Hotel. Firstly, the bed was very hard and there was an obvious dip in the mattress. During the night, I heard the springs ping in the mattress and if you slept too close to the edge, the mattress collapsed. I had a very poor sleep. I approached the front desk, I was told there was nothing that could be done as housekeeping went home. During checkout this morning, the assistant manager said we could have been moved to a different room. The gutters on the roofs have rusted through. This meant that when it rained overnight, dripping was heard and woke us up. Finally, while I understand that the resturant was closed yesterday, I still can't understand why bar food couldn't be ordered and secondly, why there was no table service for breakfast this morning.

Second stay just as good as the first. Friendly helpful staff. The in house restaurants and bar are all terrific. Most striking and welcoming is the decor: mid century styles in jewel colours making the rooms and lobby feel warm and welcoming in th midst of a Canberra winter.

I wish I could stay longer

First class. Only thing missing is an onsite gym.

The noise from public area travels to the rooms. I could hear the music, staff moving tables and setting up the restaurant from my room.
